Whether Drake stans wanna admit it or not they are waiting for multiple SMASH hits

I just think its demographic issue, we grew up on Drake and his listening demographic dominated high school/college music. I just think younger gen isnt into the consumption of these artists the same way. Streamers are the new rappers, streamers are what is being discussed and when it comes to music its youngboy over old heads and that generation controls the narrative online.

I was helping my 6 year old niece with homework yesterday and every time she say 67 on the page, she did the dumb ass dance and said it like the trend and circled that s*** on the paper

There is a reason why kpop album is popping over big artists. The biggest consumers have different taste.

On some real s***, I took the time to listen to $$$ front to back off the strength of all the glazing Drake stans on here do for it.

I listened to it fully with an open mind and I kid you not when I tell you that it was one of the most narcoleptic R&B projects I ever heard.

Hell, this project legit made me appreciate Chris Brown's last project, 11:11, way more and I don't even f*** with Breezy's music like that lol.

I'm a big R&B fan so I'm used to the whole downtempo R&B sound. That whole wave is oversaturated if I'm being honest and this project doesn't stand out at all. Maybe it's good R&B for rap standards but even Bino and Tyler have AML and Igor under their belt.

Not a bad album but I honestly would MUCH rather listen to GNX front to back than $$$. That's just me though. I enjoy Die Trying and Greedy though. Best songs on there for me. Overall, it's a very hit or miss project for me and I still don't get the hype.

Album sucked. They couldn’t even fake enjoying it for more than a month

Drake updated his certs so GropeDivine gonna be busy for a few days updating on 152 forums, make sure to take some breaks and stretch in between

  • Oct 24, 2025

Congrats on Drake on all those certs.

Nobody can deny he's the numbers guy.

It doesn’t live up to their previous collab standards whatsoever either

Actually GKMC should be around 9.9+. It's hitting diamond eligible EOY.

Damn is around 9.6 so next year, diamond eligible.

There are numerous male albums either Diamond-eligible or soon to be Diamond-eligible, they just haven’t been certified yet

even his haters thought what did i miss? was gonna be a smash hit and run the summer.

it seems like people have just fully tuned out his new singles, maybe they're waiting for the album? $$$4U certainly did better than you would have expected from the 100 gigs singles.

I still don’t understand why anyone considers $$$4U to be some rousing commercial success. The album performed… okay. You can spam weeks in the Top 5 all you want but 2025 has been historically weak for the music industry; it wasn’t batting against much competition

  • Oct 24, 2025

Jumping in here to let everyone know that all her loss, Fatd, hnm, and ss4u clears gnx. gnx is an alright but the gap in talent between the two artists is too big so I don’t blame kendrick. Drake is just the goat

  • Oct 24, 2025

Only Drake can update that many diamond plaques at once like it’s nothing. There’s really no one like him

that’s why youngboy so big because he focused on YouTube, these niggas still don’t get it yet. they tryna get to a different gen on IG and still using old methods to promote or focus promo on. the new gen is heavily on TikTok and the younger of them, and all of them, are heavily on YouTube

Y’all say this a lot on here but it just isn’t true in any way.

Streamers are the equivalent of YouTubers for Gen Z kids back in the 2010s. That didn’t mean they were bigger than the biggest musicians.

It’s not a coincidence that the streamers’ get their biggest view counts when celebrities make guest appearances. It’s basically the zoomer version of late night talk shows.

The K-Pop album is popular because it’s super catchy and the movie is good, it’s not just a kids thing. At my job all of my coworkers are 30+ and they’ve all said they’ve rewatched the movie like three times a piece, it’s a phenomenon

Whenever those streamers actually release an album, it flops. I don't think they'll ever replace full time artists, unless one can find a way to balance the allure of both professions

Literally. DDG has been trying to become a serious rapper for the past decade and his album he just released went triple aluminum

A YouTuber/streamer trying to become a musician is commonplace.

A successful musician pivoting to a full-time streamer does not exist
