Genuine question here (haven’t listened to the album yet)
How different are the variants compared to the OG songs? Does she add a spoken word part, are there new lyrics, does she sing it differently?
Any variants you think that are better than the OGs?

You can’t show another artist (except for Cardi) that released 30+ versions of a new album WITHIN ITS OPENING WEEK.
? Hit me hard and soft, brat summer, cowboy Carter all had 20 variants. TS had around 20 variants if you don’t count the digitals which sells no more than 300k I bet, and were only released to get over rhe 4M line.
It doesn’t even matter though, cus again - the fact that she can make this record possible at all (through variants) when pure sales is dead, is props to her and her fandom size. It’s the ultimate demonstration of the scale and power of her stardom, it’s not something to diss.

Here’s the real funny part: billboard year 2026 chart already started this week, and I bet your asses no other artists can even beat Taylor’s week 2 numbers this entire year. And since Week 2 is no longer the time to buy extras, (there arent any of the limited time variants available anyway), and since her fans have already bought their copies - her week 2 number should be fairly beatable for the rest of the folks, right? Well I bet your ass nobody can beat it this year, lol.

It had one alternative cover and, like, 4 different colors of vinyls.
This first version was missing some songs so the official vinyl only dropped a few months later
