    Absolutely

I love it, it’s gonna show who genuinely loves the genre and who’s just hanging around because it’s trendy

I think part of the reason why pop losers come here is because they can role play and say outlandish s*** while other forums they go by the rules and don’t get to act wild

I was just thinking that the other day.

We've been told that numbers and streams are the ultimate test of how hot you are and how none of your music can be considered mid if its streamed heavily.

Meanwhile, Taylor dropped 3 mid albums in a row that did fantastic in album sales and streaming and are on track to go Diamond by the end of the decade and niggas want to switch up the whole argument now lol.

It's like an epiphany that maybe those "dusty hip hop heads" had a point about how numbers don't mean much when it comes to quality or even influence.

The idea of what is and isn't "quality" has always been subjective. You might not like the last few Taylor Swift albums but enough people like them and that's why they've performed as well as they have.

They've sold well but they've also been streamed billions of times. Stans and sycophants can buy 100 variants of an album to show support but nobody is streaming an album they don't genuinely enjoy for months and years.

This is the same argument people have with Drake's music. People will tell you he hasn't dropped any good music in 10 years but he keeps dropping albums that perform well and not just in week 1 but 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years down the line and they're still amassing considerable streams. It doesn't mean those people are necessarily lying about not liking his latest music, they just don't factor into the equation as much as they think when there's millions of other people who enjoy and keep listening to the same music they insist is trash. You also have to take everything you see on social media with a grain of salt because many of the people who talk down on something still actively engage with it privately. That's what happens when you're that big of a star.

No one is saying she is not huge. They are saying she did not sell f***ing 4 million copies of her album and break Adele’s record without multiple variations.

You know the variants diss is disingenuous because they never acknowledge that the sales market is so dead compared to 2014-2015 that variants are needed if you are going to go up pure sales vs pure sales in 2025. Nope, they pretend as though T swift should just be able to clear 4M without any variants as if the market hadn’t shrink, which tells you for serious they actually are.

Notice that nobody in the industry (HDD, billboard, IFPI, Grammys etc) ever had anything negative to say about her sales numbers, it’s almost like they view a variant-sales in 2025 to be just as impressive as a non-variant sales in 2015, because it is.

Actually, her 2nd week numbers most likely will still be the biggest for the whole next billboard tracking year. that should tell you how much bigger she is compared to everybody else.

  • this b**** really did 4 million

    she is satan reincarnate
