Her team sold out all limited variants on her webstore and were so comfortable with the pre-sale number they didn’t bother dropping a new version at midnight.
It was blatantly clear she was doing record sales. Y’all like to just be in your own world
The initial report was that 3M was “in sight”, but Chart Data just confirmed the album already did 2.7M in one day alone. That’s why my prediction lowballed a bit, I was going off what HDD said
I agree. 1500 listens for one sale is way too high. One sale should not be weighed that much.
The problem begins with weighing them together in the first place. Buying a thing to listen to and essentially listening to it for free passively are two different things
1500 streams = 1 sale was always arbitrary and impossible. The equal sign is inherently fictional and ill fitting no matter what number is in place of the 1500
Sorry she sold 1.2M of vinyls in ONE day ??
Yes
She legitimately can challenge for 4M first week. Like that’s a real possibility at this point
TTPD did 1.4M on its first day, then finished with 2.6M
She’s already at 2.7M with Showgirl

Wonder why this notion of Bots never comes up with her

I think mostly because she’s primarily selling physical albums. Her streaming numbers are strong too, but it’s these physicals that make her put up these historic numbers.
There’s real people camping out at these stores at midnight for her so it’s definitely not fake
At this point, if she doesn’t break the record it’s gonna be seen as a disappointment which is an absolutely preposterous statement
i wouldn't say 25 is quite as iconic as its first week record would imply, certainly not more iconic than 21, but at least that had hello on it.
i doubt the life of a showgirl will have any songs that are remembered a year from now, let alone decades from now.
Yeah, it’s kinda sad, but it’ll probably be the case. It’s what I was saying earlier about culture being so fragmented now

25 having the highest first week sales made sense cause it was a follow-up to the biggest album of the century lol.
This was a follow up to an album that had 0 huge hits and is a classic to nobody outside her fans. Just selling off a huge fanbase that repeatedly buys.

I mean… on paper, TTPD is the biggest album of the 2020s.
Yet another example of what I mean when I say culture is fragmented.
In the 2020s, you can have the biggest album of the decade while simultaneously having that album reach absolutely nobody besides your core fans

2.6M first week, three-fourths to Diamond in 8 months, 8x Platinum in one year.
If it’s not, then what is?
But KTT told me R&B doesn’t perform well commercially I’m confused

what the hell
@fader its over
@fader its over
Lmao yeah I posted that on the last page, this is breezing past 3.4M
This honestly might clear 4M if she drops more bundles and variants

I think adele doing it without alternate versions is more impressive.
what the hell
Nigga.
I think adele doing it without alternate versions is more impressive.
ALSO, Adele did it WITHOUT streaming. Which is absolutely ridiculous
You say "even chart watching is dull" like it was the most entertaining part of music for you
