okay, now let’s use this argument about Views era Drake
his biggest songs of his whole career at the time were Hotline Bling and One Dance
he’s always been more melodic rap-singy than strictly rap
would you have called Drake a pop artist who rapped when he wanted in 2016?
1. You too, only used one point
Doja Cat is just not a rapper first and that's ok
2. Show me Doja's Room for Improvement and SFG and I'll call her a rapper first

so for you to be a rapper, you have to release a full rap project first even if you have 40 plus songs with you rapping
there is no such thing as being a rapper first or being a singer first thats putting people in boxes
thats what they did with kanye when they said he was a producer first
If you need a full fledged rap album to be considered a rapper we just lost half the game lol
because @shaleirose doesn't want to read headlines like this

had to repost this because I have a certain feeling the person at the top of the page really wants to see this again

So her come up DNA isn't at least 50% rap.... and her last (first) album isn't at least 50% rap....
But y'all want to call her a rapper?

Doja does not have 40 plus songs with her rapping

Another awful example. Kanye’s first three albums are rap albums. He’s a rapper.
Doja’s first three albums are pop albums.
And her first EP was R&B.

this time im not even trying to be funny but actually purrrr! her first ep, and most of the music she released on soundcloud are rap and rnb with some pop influence

but this was before he released an album, they told him he couldn't be a rapper because he was a producer
but this was before he released an album, they told him he couldn't be a rapper because he was a producer
That’s entirely different.
They were doubting he could be a successful rapper because he was literally only a producer and never released solo music before.
Doja Cat is not getting doubted that she can be or is a rapper, she has a very successful career, and she raps sometimes. But she’s still not a rapper.
False equivalency.

so you're saying that kanye being put in a box because he produced more than he rapped is different than doja cat being put in a box because she sings more than she raps
good to know man

Kanye had NEVER RELEASED a solo song. He wasn’t being put in a box, people were just doubting because he hadn’t released any solo music.
Doja Cat HAS RAPPED on some of her songs. That does not make her a rapper.
Doja debate still going
There's a second point there but you only focused on one
the point was semantical, im over this argument anyways, it's clear yall are trying not to consider her a rapper due to ulterior motives anyways

50+ pages off one bait post, a testament to @Theory
Big 3 gotta get updated if we’re going off streams
Kid Laroi getting 5.4 million streams a day off a 2 year old album, got 5 billion total streams
Lil Nas X getting 5.6 million streams a day off Montero, 3.8 billion total streams
Doja at 8.2 million a day off Planet Her, 4.5 billion total streams
Then you got Drake at 4.6 million a day, 2.5 billion total streams off CLB
Right behind him you got Post, who is getting 3.9 million a day with 10 billion total off Hollywood’s Bleeding (albums 3 years old)
So the big 3 is officially Kid Laroi, Lil Nas X, and Doja Cat. Runner up position probably gonna be between Drake and Post. Realistically it’s Post’s spot though, Drake music doesn’t have the longevity that Post has. Post’s biggest albums wipe the floor with Drakes in terms of streams

Might be my greatest work

i didnt even know it was your post that started all this, but it starting with a post saying doja sells more than drake explains a lot of why some people are so bitter saying she isnt a rapper
only getting better
Drake Stan’s seeing me put Drake tied with Post in the runner up position behind Doja, LNX and the Kid Laroi
So is lil nas X a rapper and if so what percentage of his discography is rap
i didnt even know it was your post that started all this, but it starting with a post saying doja sells more than drake explains a lot of why some people are so bitter saying she isnt a rapper
Derailed the thread for 100 pages with only the power of an idea
