Yeah because an album releasing the last week of November and an album releasing the last week of June is totally the same thing
GNX will be 13 months old
Scorpion was 17 months old
wow huge difference

Bruh come on, you know any major artist that drops that late in Q4 of a year ends up finishing higher on the following year’s list. Not the same at all to a middle of the summer release.
GNX was out for five weeks in the year it released, Scorpion was out for six months
Same reason why SOS didn’t make the Top 50 in 2022 but was #2 in 2023. That’s just how it works when you release that late in a calendar year.
All I’m saying is that Scorpion wasn’t the reason Drake was the highest selling rapper in 2019. Even if you remove all of the Scorpion sales that year, he still would’ve finished in #1.
which songs do you think are weak on it
Moreso forgettable than weak, I'd say but Elevate, I'm Upset, 8 Out of 10, Can't Take a Joke, Peak, Summer Games, Ratchet Happy Birthday, Blue Tint, Final Fantasy.

Dang I love all those songs except Ratchet Happy Birthday and Final Fantasy
I really think the hits being so huge f***ed up the albums perception because he has some of his most introspective songs on there
We still got the same 6 users in here during the most boring 2 months of chart watching?

Ratchet happy birthday a classic
Ratchet happy birthday a classic
It’s serves a cultural purpose but it’s so random in an album as personal as scorpion

8 OUT OF 10??? ONE OF DRAKES BEST SONGS?? Please tell me this is a troll
Views released 9 years ago
Scorpion released 7 years ago
I promise you with 100% certainty that in 7-9 years’ time, GNX will be a Diamond-eligible, culturally relevant album with culturally-relevant hit records.
Who cares that in Week 45 it was outsold by Take Care, it’s irrelevant because Take Care is a classic album.
Y’all are inadvertently disrespecting Take Care by using it as some gotcha. Y’all are acting like GNX was outsold by a 6ix9ine album or something this week
Put it this way: both Drake and Kendrick have an early 2010s classic album of theirs that is currently outselling the others’ biggest commercial albums right now. It’s a moot point.
Bro no one can name two songs on GNX legit only Luther is widely known. And that boom bop boom bop bam song that was a meme.. people don’t even know the name of that one. Culturally relevant hit records 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

GNX is what happens when you try to abuse the radio factor in billboard rules to manufacture a highly successful hits album. An album with two #1 and two #2 records but only sold 319k first week and is now getting outsold by a 14 year old Drake album. I don’t think that album will age well at all
Album holding up extremly well
Its a grower, its on my top 10 aoty list now
i was so wrong about this album

I like most of the songs I mentioned. I just don't revisit them as much as time has passed and they're very forgettable to me now. Doesn't mean they're necessarily bad songs.

It also doesn't help that many of the R&B numbers on the album are some of his weakest ever. The whole album feels weird because it's clear a lot of it was done in a month to make the release deadline in the wake of the beef the Push.

I think ur misunderstanding cause I didn't mean anything about that
my example was in 4 months when the 2025 rankings come out, this place will 100% be celebrating Kendrick being top 3. By that time, GNX will be 13 months old.
You said Scorpion at the end of 2019 was "back catalog" even though it was 17 months old. When does an album become "back catalog"? between 13 and 17 months old? Crazy tbh
Back catalog to me is at least 3 years old. Anything newer is very recent in an artists discog

Technically, back catalog is anything after 18 months.
I'd love to know the same data from AM, i wonder if drake still has a large lead there
