WATTBA should’ve been future only tbh
Future was in rare form on that tape I can’t lie
Funnily enough that they were both the last years of their respective decades, but I think the most wide open years in recent rap history as to who was the face of the year are 2009 and 2019
Maybe not you specifically but people did it with the weekend and carti this year.
Carti has been better than Drake since at least 2018
Being “better” doesn’t mean he has to be a superstar

What are some of your favorite Carti bars and verses?
Oh my, good Lord
https://twitter.com/talkofthecharts/status/1967923152799011244Deserves it imo. 19 weeks at #1, gazillion weeks in the top 10. Congratulations to him.
Take Care is outcharting gnx. This is supposed to be kendrick's peak
"Biggest rap album of the decade" they said.
Because you should use your brain more
KTT had a hard on for anybody Drake opposite at one point or another, I never said they were only fans because of this.
Post Malone? KTT said he would replace Drake. Chance? Same thing, they backed Joe Budden when he claimed it. Lil Baby had his little run and he was the next rap superstar to take the reigns
All I'm saying is all of that never materialized and a lot of it was wishful thinking so Drake was be removed as the face of rap
Here we are years later and the it's the same story
“Backed Joe Budden”
Just because you follow that nigga on twitter doesn’t me the rest of us give a s*** about him

This thought process is just ass backwards.
Are Views and Scorpion not the biggest rap albums of the 2010s because GKMC is currently charting higher than them?
Y’all don’t be thinking before y’all speak at all

TML longevity is crazy. Is it gonna be seen as one of his best aging in the future?
TML longevity is crazy. Is it gonna be seen as one of his best aging in the future?
If it was gonna be seen as that, it would’ve already, it came out fifteen years ago. The reason it’s stuck around so long on the chart is that same of his biggest hits ever are on there

So the goalposts moved from commercial success to “bars” and “verses”
I wonder why “bars” and “verses” didn’t matter when y’all said Drake was better than Kendrick for years

Lmao Drake has way more iconic verses and bars than Kendrick and it’s not even close
More like 80/20. Now that I think about it maybe even 90/10

Comeback Season, So Far Gone, Thank Me Later, Take Care & Nothing Was the Same are all classics imo.
TML not being a classic was some bullshit propaganda tbh

I personally think Drake has at least 6 classics but i'm not sure if everyone is ready for that conversation
TML not being a classic was some bullshit propaganda tbh
Drake was racking up too many classics so they had to change the definition of whats a classic
Plus GNX actually came out this decade. Lol
Views and Scorpion are Diamond-eligible albums. They're both culturally-relevant albums with culturally-relevant hit records.
GNX is/was supposed to be Kendrick's commercial peak. The album is isn't even a year old and it's already being outsold by a much older album like Take Care. Whether you assign a larger meaning to that or not is up to you but people aren't wrong to note/mention that.
