She’s doing 6 different days of album signings.

Also I think she prob is going hard with instore signings because for many record stores Luminate/Billboard artificially weighs their sales instead of using raw numbers. They don’t get sales reporting from most smaller non-chain stores so with the few they do track they weigh their sales to account for the ones they don’t track.

For example they could track 1 record store in NYC, and every 1 sale counts as 7 sales to makeup for lack of tracking for 6 other stores in NYC area.

There’s dozens of physical stores that count like that for the chart.

Obviously I think every store she is doing signings in are ones her team knows are apart of the panel that counts for charts.

If those sales are multiplied then 5,000 signed copies can turn into a number like 25,000 copies counting for the chart lol

This is actually insane lmao. I know the music industry is just smoke and mirrors but there’s gotta be some limit to the shamelessness

they dont give a f*** about longevity, it's same bs as #1 movie, New York Best seller mindset.

The money is coming from touring.

Harry Styles has the Q baiting gimmick.

Harry Styles has As It Was - this decade. That needs to be mentioned here. Justin does not have an As It Was this decade

Beliebers.. that word took me back to 2012.

(I think that fanbase died just like the Katycats did)

Bieber is an odd one because his music has aged terribly. Multiple albums with several smash hits on them but their recurrent numbers are abysmal.

Nice, Drake’s new single DOG HOUSE rises to #52 on the US Spotify Chart with a total of 537K US streams.

Comparing third singles for an upcoming album, this is performing weaker than São Paulo by The Weeknd, which charted lower on its second day on the US Chart (#54), but had a higher number of streams (717K). São Paulo was also #7 on the Global Chart on its second day.

DOG HOUSE has still failed to make an appearance on the Global Chart

I remember loving Purpose when it came out and now I can't stand it. The lyrics and production seem so childish in retrospect. Way too poppy

Outside of that, people simply don't go back to listen to his music like that, even the biggest hits on his albums. His work from 2010 to like 2015 sounds and feels very childish and his work as an adult isn't that much better.

Changes is a largely forgettable album and Justice, even with its hits, isn't that much better.

I think because he blew up as a child star and he never matured so his music reflects that. It's just that we've grown up and its way more apparent how empty his songs are

Listening to Beiber was equivalent of listening to meme rappers back when I was in school. I’m glad I grew up in a cultured neighborhood

Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, and Coldplay all share the quality of being musically washed for years but still staying relevant off of a few catchy singles and touring power.
