NOKIA has only received 24M more streams than Timeless in the US this year. But they tell me on here that HUT had no hits and NOKIA was a huge hit

Drake stans told us that he’s been having a bigger year than Kendrick in the US and that Kendrick was getting boosted by radio

But Drake only has one single song on that entire list, and there’s three Kendrick songs above it

That’s all US streams only so what’s this excuse this time?

I remember being told that SOMEBODY LOVES ME was a hit that was doing damage in the streets in the US, yet it’s nowhere to be found amongst the Top 50 Streamed Songs of 2025

Someone they follow on IG used it in a post that means it’s “doing damage”

They know that’s why they keep spamming all time streams to distract from it

Not a soul in this world has claimed Drake isn’t popular, yet they are in this ongoing 1 sided argument about it

Also the reason why they're ignoring AM so much and only talking about Spotify when it's about botting

It also proves that the amount of people using Apple Music is EXTREMELY small.

A song like SOMEBODY LOVES ME has consistently been within the Top 20-30 of Apple Music basically all year and it hasn’t even amassed 200M total streams on the year

I’ve been looking into the Top Streams charts published by HDD for each individual year this decade. I couldn’t find the lists for 2020, 2021, and 2024, but here are some interesting pieces of info about the artists we discuss every day in here:

    • Highest Drake Lead Song in both years: Jimmy Cooks in 2022 (#15) - 293M
    • The Weeknd Entries in 2022: Save Your Tears (#20) - 288M // Blinding Lights (#32) - 249M // Die For You (#40) - 236M
    • Drake in 2022: WAIT FOR U (#3) - 452M // Jimmy Cooks (#15) - 293M // Knife Talk (#19) - 289M
    • The Weeknd in 2023: Die For You (#5) - 460M // Creepin’ (#12) - 390M
    • Drake in 2023: Rich Flex (#20) - 337M
    • Didn’t find the full list for 2021, but the little preview blurb on HDD says that The Weeknd had at least one entry within the Top 10 for the year. No mention of Drake.
    • Total Number of Songs Over 500M Per Year: 2022 - One (As It Was) // 2023 - Four (Last Night, Kill Bill, Flowers, Something in the Orange) // 2025 so far - One (luther)

So one, it’s extremely interesting that despite finishing the year #1 in streams annually, the most streams a Drake lead song has gotten in one calendar year this decade so far was Rich Flex with 337M. For context, there are a total of 15 songs this year that have already surpassed that mark. And the highest that a Drake song has finished was only at #15, in a year when he dropped two entire albums. I don’t think anything from CLB could’ve finished that high on the 2021 list since it was a late-year release.

Also, @mangotflu saying that the US has moved on from The Weeknd is simply untrue. Every single year of this decade, he’s had a song finish within at least the Top 20 in total streams in the US, even in years when he didn’t drop an album. I think his biggest commercial underperformance of the 2020s is easily Dawn FM, that didn’t have a single song wind up in the Top 50 of 2022. HUT at least has Timeless at #15 on the year for 2025.

And lastly, Kendrick was nowhere to be found on any of these lists, so the beef last year definitely reignited the mainstream’s overall interest in his music, I don’t think anyone ever denied that though. I have a feeling that family ties was somewhere on the list for 2021, but I can’t confirm that since I don’t have access to it

“The numbers aren’t high enough” and Young Thug is on record saying he used bots for DS4EVER which sold 150K and BUSINESS IS BUSINESS which sold 89K

Look we know stream farms exist. We now have it on record that multiple high profile artists have used bots to some extent at some point. The simplest conclusion to make is that every major artist is using bots in varying capacities. All of this s*** is dressed up to look better than it actually is.

Maybe some of the artists aren’t even aware of it themselves, but it’s probably their labels doing it backdoor for them

wayne is not thug. hope that helps.

yall the same ones saying the album underperformed.

WDIM/WO are going off in clubs and parties. Drake already got two hits earlier in the year with Nokia/SML. I promise you, the guy is fine. Just enjoy the music as we all await the release of Iceman. Y'all are gonna be alright, I promise

SOMEBODY LOVES ME nowhere to be found within the Top 50 Streamed Songs in the US in 2025…

Wayne and Thug’s last albums sold within similar ranges first week. 89K and 108K. Not that far off

And that account is either capping or is clueless. Are you implying hip hop is the only genre not botting or that botting in general is not happening. Make a claim and stand by it instead of this constant goal post moving

he usually clarifies major hip hop artists. but hes right.

Wow! Drake's monthly numbers stayed consistent while Kendrick's dropped precipitously. I wonder what changed?

  • Sep 2, 2025

We have yet to see evidence of botted streams counting for Billboard but we have seen Billboard filter sales and streams of artists 🤔

It’s not cope. You think labels are choosing to bot for some artists and others they aren’t? Do you realize how naive that is?

Yes, C6 should’ve cleared 200K first week because it’s one of the most popular album series of all time, yet it utterly flopped

If you can bot streams that count for billboard this easily why dont you think any fanbases have done this?
