How is he “abusing” it because he has a fanbase that’s more willing to buy his products?
Also, 73% of The Tortured Poets Department’s first week sales were pure sales
You shouldn't compare fradulent tshirt bundles with actual music sales
Didn't yall say physical purchases were more important than streams
What's the problem now
SWAG is obviously the most organically consumed album this week but JackBoys 2 (which nobody will give a f*** about by next week) is getting the #1 spot because of bundles
You were probably oen of the people defending the lollipops
No, those were actual abuse of the system. Niggas was selling random products and attaching a 99 cent digital download and calling it a sale.
The new rules are much more fair and reasonable. Merch items HAVE to be available to purchase separately from the physical copies they’re bundled with, and the physical copies have to be full priced. Anyone choosing to purchase a physical copy bundle is making a conscious decision to do so
great sales week all around
@fader why aren't you callign these trav numbers a flop, when you've called drake's last few project a flop when they did like 4x higher numbers? Odd

He only cares about first week numbers to determine the overall success of an album. That's why his stupid ass thinks HUT is more successful than $$$4U.

Relax bro this is a jackboys compilation album. Not an actual Travis Scott studio album

#physcials tho
BB needs to make it where albums/vinyls/casettes can't be bundled with any non-music items and we'll see where all this lands
^y’all say I’m the one that brings up Drake all the time, keep in mind he had nothing to do with this conversation and these two idiots brought him up
@fader why aren't you callign these trav numbers a flop, when you've called drake's last few project a flop when they did like 4x higher numbers? Odd
These numbers are bad, I never said they were good
But who genuinely gives a f*** about the performance of a Jackboys album
#physcials tho

That's what really needs to happen. Once I saw that they brought back "fan packs", it was clear it was just another way to reintroduce bundles because labels cried about them scrapping them.
It's especially telling when many of these bundled albums CRASH on the charts once they're out of physicals to move because no one is streaming the album.

Its almost like its a jack boys compilation album that sold nearly as much as $$$4u
You shouldn't compare fradulent tshirt bundles with actual music sales
So Taylor selling 37 different versions of the same album to boost its numbers is okay?

It’s like y’all aren’t even aware of what the current rules are
Why do people continue to act like Travis is the only artist that does bundles just because he has the most success with it? Does he not realize over half of Clipse’s first week total is from physicals & bundles as well?
Also he’s extremely corny for being a media member and s***ting on physical media
https://twitter.com/chatnigga101/status/1946687588351266977I'm a Swiftie and I don't condone Mr Wilson's comments.
I don’t get why yall actually care about bundles
Imagine being mad that fans love an artist so much they’re willing to spend real money on them to support them
Streaming is the worst and laziest way to support an artist you like
Its almost like its a jack boys compilation album that sold nearly as much as $$$4u
a 2 year hyped album did 4x less streams than a collab album with a fat bum pnd
These numbers are bad, I never said they were good
But who genuinely gives a f*** about the performance of a Jackboys album
You cared a lot about the performance of a surprise drop dance album
Massive congrats to Clipse. In their 50s doing 118k. Even did more than the final predictions!
What a sight
Imagine being mad that fans love an artist so much they’re willing to spend real money on them to support them
Streaming is the worst and laziest way to support an artist you like
They spent the last year crying about how easy it is to manipulate steaming but now they’re shaming artists for having fans that are willing to spend $30 or whatever to support
You cared a lot about the performance of a surprise drop dance album
Dance album s*** is such cope because Gaga and Beyonce dropped house albums and outsold
many rappers can dominate travis in the longevity department but nobody is touching his first week sales, that's where he thrives
his next solo album is gonna do 450k pure and 200k streaming units and there's not a single thing billboard can do to stop him
I think its mostly because the music is not that good
That and I think alot of it is the discrepancy between the numbers. I don’t know them off the top only head so not speaking from expertise but he sort of got around to explaining the difference between the traditional way Travis albums are consumed compared to the numbers he’s doing off bundles
