Interested in seeing how Iceman does
With it being his most anticipated album ever with such a complex and creative rollout I’m thinking 600k first week or it’s a massive failure
What a stupid post. Kendrick won a rap battle against Drake and his album barely surpassed a 300k debut but Drake is expected to double that
Aren't we in the Dot Era now? Reserve all your lofty commercial expectations for Kendrick, not Drake.

Haha
500K max. 450K would be a win in my eyes.
Anything above 350k would be a massive win. Reminder than we're less than 6 years into the 2020s and Drake has already dropped projects that debuted with 600k units, 400k units (twice) and 200k units (3 times).

He knows that. It’s literally bait. He’s just setting expectations super high so he can say drake “flopped” when doesn’t do those numbers lol. Taylor Swift is the only one who could pull 600k+ from streaming alone nowadays
Did anyone buy any bundles for JB2? I'm tryna see something
them bundles been cooking for a month+ brother
Still left to be seen imo. Utopia was a commercial disappointment and that was with him gaming the system and juicing his numbers using every loophole possible.
Total 2023 Units:
UTOPIA - 1.6M
For All the Dogs - 1.2M
Total 2024 Units:
UTOPIA - 1.2M
For All the Dogs - 1.3M
Yet you believe UTOPIA was a commercial disappointment and somehow For All the Dogs wasn’t?

Utopia wasn’t disappointing. That did well tbf

Whoever is behind that post is mentally ill. Drake's bar to surpass is whatever GNX debuted with since Kendrick is the #1 guy in the game now.

12 track surprise release btw

Yep. My realistic number would ultimately be 400K.
But you’re right.
It‘s f***ing over soon

Will Iceman go 3x Platinum in one year like GNX is about to do?
Utopia wasn’t disappointing. That did well tbf
On Spotify, yes, but he had to sell $5 vinyls for 4 weeks to boost his numbers and keep his album at #1. After the fourth week, the bundles ran out and the album crashed out of the top 10 and is charting even lower than For All the Dogs right now.
I'd say that for a comeback album, it performed well enough, I guess but compared to Astroworld (which probably isn't fair, but still) it underperformed.
Drake will only outsell Kendrick if it's 20+ streaming bait slop like Views, More Life, Scorpion, CLB, FATD, etc
Honestly Nevermind exposed what happens when Drake doesn't pad his albums with bloat for streaming

It really depends on the number of tracks

Wild how 200k units fw is worth praising now
