I’m starting to think his next album having a “smash hit” isn’t gonna be as easy as they think

He hasn’t had a solo smash hit all decade lol

The delusional is next-level. They're acting like every Kendrick studio album didn't get a massive boost in Spotify streams after the beef and the Super Bowl.

They keep ignoring the context of Mr. Morale being Kendrick's first album in 5 years and his first album after the huge success that was DAMN. For All the Dogs was Drake's fifth project this decade lmao. At this point, we just gotta let them run with their delusional narratives because they're fully committed to stick with them lol.

    So he’s 1/6 this decade?

Dark Lane Demo Tapes - came and went
Certified Lover Boy - highly successful ✅
Honestly, Nevermind - critically panned, commercial failure
    Her Loss - mild success
For All The Dogs - moderate success, retroactively panned after the beef
    $ome $exy $ongs 4 U - forgettable outside of one song

Drake fans spreading misinformation as always

    Drake Tour - roughly $350 million - 80 shows - Finished

    Kendrick tour - roughly $250 million - 23 shows - not finished

Don't let them fool you with misleading statistics, not looking into things behind loud online opinions is one of the bigger reasons the world is f***ed up at the moment

  • Jun 26, 2025

About the right time to say that ALL sales do not matter when discussing the quality of the music at any level

And if we can't agree on that then you're genuinely all nuts

cope. his north american tour is done. we are comparing north american tours

trying to compare a north american tour to a world tour is what would be misleading

    This is simple math.

    It’s All a Blur:

    • $320M gross, 1.325M tickets sold, 80 shows total.
    • $320M divided by 1.325M equals an average ticket price of $241.
    • $320M divided by 80 equals a average gross of $4M per show.
    • 1.325M divided by 80 equals an average attendance of 16K per show.

    Grand National:

    • $256M gross, 1.1M tickets sold, 23 North American shows total.
    • $256M divided by 1.1M equals an average ticket price of $232.
    • $256M divided by 23 equals an average gross of $11.1M per show.
    • 1.1M divided by 23 equals an average attendance of 47K per show.

So, yes, Drake’s total gross is higher, but that’s because his average ticket price was $10 higher than Kendrick’s, and he had to do an additional 57 shows to have the higher number.

If It’s All a Blur was only 23 shows total, it only would’ve grossed $92M, and only would’ve sold 368K tickets.

If Grand National was 80 shows long in North America alone, it would’ve grossed $888M (would’ve been impossible, stadium shows are always shorter), and it would’ve sold 3.7M tickets (again, extremely unlikely for one continent’s leg of a stadium tour).

  • Jun 26, 2025

comparing a 23 stop stadium tour to a 80 stop arena tour is redundant

both sides can twist to fit a point of who did better

drake lost the beef though, and that will never change

Well, Drake's tour was entirely played in North American cities. It's silly to compare a stadium tour that's playing to multiple markets to an arena tour that didn't, especially when the stadium tour is already grossing way more money off fewer shows because its playing to a higher average audience per show than an arena tour lol.

Drake played 80 arena shows, grossed $320M from 1.3M tickets sold and averaged 16.5k tickets per show.

Kendrick/SZA played 23 stadium shows, grossed $256M from 1.1M tickets sold and averaged 47.8k tickets per show.

It'd have taken Drake 28 stadium shows to gross $320M and it'd have taken him 22 stadium shows to gross $256M — if he played the same stadium capacity Kendrick/SZA did. Meanwhile, it'd have taken Kendrick/SZA 29 shows to gross $320M, playing at their current stadium capacity.

The larger point here is that both tours were very successful. Drake averaged $4M per show, playing to an average audience of 16.5k per show. Kendrick/SZA averaged $11M per show, playing to an average audience of 47.8k per show.

Obviously, Kendrick/SZA's tour will end up grossing more because they have 18 more shows to play across Europe/Australia but just comparing their North American dates, Drake's tour was just as successful, if not a bit more. He just had to play more shows because he played arenas and not stadiums.

FATD will be outstreamed by gnx within the year and outsold within 2

So is kendrick flopping or was fatd a blockbuster?

I might agree with this if GNX was seen as a disappointment. If Kendrick goes in a mainstream direction again he can easily repeat the success of GNX. Yall stay talking about him like he was Freddie Gibbs tier before the beef

    Yall lie so bad.

DAMN will be 9 years old by April 2026. GNX hasn't barely been out for 7 full months yet and has already matched/surpassed every notable record set by that album.

For All the Dogs is a way bigger success than Mr. Morale on every level. For All the Dogs has never left the Billboard 200. Mr. Morale left the Billboard 200 by summer 2023 and only re-entered because of the beef/the Super Bowl and dropped right back out again after that.

For All the Dogs has bigger hits, has sold more units, has pulled more streams, etc. I'm sorry if your delusional ass can't understand this.

Kendrick stans really just get on her and lie 😭

mr morale just passed 2.2 million units this year.
