2024 was supposed to be the year Kendrick destroyed Drake and took over as the #1 guy in rap, but as we know, he didn't outperform Drake in the US or globally in 2024.

As it stands right now, Drake is currently outperforming Kendrick in the US and globally as well and Drake is also supposed to drop a solo album later in the year that'll only extend that lead.

It'll be interesting seeing the narratives people try to push now because Kendrick fans were the ones who made the beef bigger than it was supposed to be. They turned it into a "Drake's career is destroyed" movement instead of it just being a "Drake lost a rap beef and got embarrassed doing so" movement. That's why they're still using any major Kendrick moment as yet another funeral for Drake. Many of them really hoped and believed Drake's career would be totally obliterated as a result of the beef.
