I can admit that the new Wayne album sucks and the numbers are sort of mediocre for a Carter release but at the end of the day, this is a guy who has been a mainstream staple for over 3 decades now. The only other person who blew up from Wayne's era who is still putting up numbers is Eminem. He's had the longevity, impact and influence most rappers wish for and for what it's worth, he can still rap. He's just gotten worse at picking the songs for his albums and so his discography has gotten objectively worse as time has passed.

With all that said, Wayne has absolutely nothing to prove to anyone. He's done what most rappers never managed to do.
