And all 30 minutes were about Drake per usual
Your fave releasing a bunch of new s*** this week and NO time spent talking about it til I called it out. Why aren’t you excited for how The Weeknd’s new things will perform?

The Weeknd dropping collabs with 2025 it-artists and got a movie coming out.
You think Hurry Up Tomorrow will be able to easily go back #1? The charts dead af and being in the top 5 currently means nothing (all according to you) so going #1 again cant be too hard with all that push

It should get a boost this week
It should get a boost this week
And that boost should push it to #1 easily right? Album chart dead af according to you and even a flop Drake/PND album being top 5 meant nothing

I’ve talked about multiple artists with him, including Drake, because we are both fans of music in general, including Drake
Reading the thread and it looks like ihype is bored and just picking an argument with Fader for nothing

Literally for absolutely nothing

And then hes gonna try to gaslight him later for being in here when he’s the one that started with him smh

It should contend for #1 because the charts are weak, yes. But I’ve also already said multiple times that the album has been underperforming post-first week. A movie and a remix isn’t going to drastically change that

He wants you to guarantee a number 1 so bad so he can quote it later for some dopamine

Vinyls should drastically boost an album but not a $20 million budget movie for an album

It’s almost like basically every major album in the history of the music industry had a vinyl release and less than 10 had a theatrical multi-million dollar budget film attached to it
Film audiences =/= music audiences
It’s why soundtrack albums rarely do major numbers unless a star is attached to them. And the “soundtrack” for this film already released three months ago

Right because one of them is a HUGE investment that most could never dream of having
This like comparing a 106 & Park performance to a SuperBowl half time
Imagine telling a drake fan in the beef thread pre euphoria that a year later kendrick would be number 1 for 12+ weeks
Right because one of them is a HUGE investment that most could never dream of having

What the hell are you even talking about?
The album’s performance has absolutely nothing to do with the film. 99.9% of albums don’t have a film attached to them.
Vinyl are a very normal thing for major albums to have, and huge regularly sell big numbers through vinyl copies alone
Film audiences =/= music audiences

“ unless a star is attached to them.”
So The Weeknd ain’t a star?

The soundtrack released three months ago dumbass it’s not new
I’m telling you a three month old album is not gonna get a major boost from a film. That’s just not how s*** works. You have a severe misunderstanding of audiences if you believe that to be the case

Right this is an INCREDIBLY rare promotional opportunity like a SuperBowl half time

Yes, and it will have little to no effect on the actual album.
Film audiences are not music audiences.
A three month old soundtrack is not getting a major boost from a film release.
Most people that see a film do not go home and play songs from the film after it’s done
