It’s revisionist history to say “bro,it was just meek”

People were looking at meek like he was next up to be top 3 at that time. He was considered by a lot to be the best lyricist in rap before that beef….its back to back that really hurt his career bad, if anything it’s a testament to back to back that people still overlook meek to this day.

I guess you just had to be there.

Back to Back was so effective, it took Drake linking back with Meek for Going Bad to get the ball rolling again lmao

War Pain>>>>>>Back to Back and it's not even close.

Everything Meek said in that song was facts. Drake’s Back to Back was just corny surface level shots with no real weight.

He got lucky Meek wasn’t better prepared cause Sissy Boy would’ve folded under pressure just like he did against Pusha and Dot.

Drake got humbled without ghostwriters he’s not even touching Chingy’s pen. He’s never dissing anyone again lol.

Buddy, War Pain is complete ass

Gee Dance as a song wouldn’t have done those numbers without Wizkid and Kyla

    i agree
but many people would still see as a popstar and not just a rapper

again u being defensive for no reason, when we just talking about pop radio performance

nothing dot spits would perform as well on pop radio as a song of him featuring sza, rihanna or taylor swift

its just common sense, yet you fighting for no reason

I'm not being defensive I'm just pointing out the double standards yall are using to downplay Luther’s success.

So far the copium list looks like this:

    1. TGD: Drake spent 29 weeks at #1 with 3 solo songs all off the same album in 2018. When Kendrick does that, we'll have that conversation.

    2. Bofa: Kendrick fans gloating about basically a SZA R&B song featuring Kendrick as his “big hit” is pretty fun to watch though ngl

    3. TGD: buh buh buh Pop Radio

    4. TheKid187: Luther as a song doesnt do these numbers without sza

The way they talk abt this song you would think people go silent until they hear szas part which is definitely not true

Kendrick fans talking down on SZA's impact on the chart performance of Luther and the success of the Grand National Tour would be like if Drake and Rihanna dropped a collab in 2016 that spent more weeks at #1 than any other Drake song beforehand and they went on a co-headlining tour than was the biggest tour Drake has ever been on and Drake fans were trying to act like it was all Drake's doing and Rihanna didn't bring anything to the table lol.

Reminder that before Luther, SZA had Kill Bill, Snooze and Saturn, all songs that spent MONTHS in the top 10 and on the Hot 100. All solo hits.

Reminder that the SOS tour grossed more than the MMATBS tour with fewer dates and that was SZA's first time playing arenas.

I'll say it again like I said the last time I brought this up: that doesn't mean Kendrick isn't a mega star in his own right. But downplaying or denying the significance of SZA's addition to Luther or to the success of their stadium tour is simply being disingenuous and even insulting to Kendrick because he added her PRECISELY because he knew what she'd bring to the table lol.

Going bad probably biggest Meek hit on paper but Dreams and Nightmares intro gotta be up there.

The reaction it gets till this day every time it's played is insane. The whole crowd stops each time and raps this s*** word for word.

Yeah that’s true. I occasionally troll Drake stans but the truth is I don’t really care about charts or Spotify stats. I’ve said it b4 once Wallen’s album drops, I’m out.

What I really want is for KTT to finally go back to normal where every other thread isn’t about Drake or Kendrick. I’ll do my part I think it’s time we finally move on.

I don’t think they do but they give Drake all The credit for it’s all a blur tour and don’t credit Cole, 21, or Wayne for their co-headlining dates

Which is the same thing Kendrick fans are doing (which is also stupid)

And it comes off hypocritical to criticize Kendrick fans from them when they did the same thing and gave Drake all the credit for his tour

TDE/RCA's SZA lands at #1 on this week's HITS Top 50 chart with SOS—no doubt in part due to the superstar's having begun her Live Nation-presented Grand National Tour with pgLang/Interscope's Kendrick Lamar.
