Kendrick also buys into this himself. He's on the album talking about not being anyone's savoir but still feels the need to make these faux deep albums with weak concepts because he knows that's exactly what hip-hop Twitter expects from him and that they'll eat it up. Another album like DAMN or GKMC would have served him better but now he's flopping away into an ether of nothingness. Sad to see.
