Just take a look at the first 20 pages a lot of those predictions aged horribly. Actually this whole thread is the perfect culmination of this rollout. Kendrick stans went through every phase from arrogant and smug all the way to defeated and lashing out

Thread started out suggesting Kendrick might underperform, op got called a biased Drake stan, a month later thread came full circle now that Kendrick underperformed. This thread had it's own arc

Drake fans celebrating this like they can look another adult in the eyes and say CLB is a finer piece of art then MMATBS.

Let’s stop the cap. Drake is a more commercially successful artist then Kendrick and he always has been.

Transformers movies made more money then all of Daniel Day Lewis’ movies in the 2000’s. Who here gonna be able to swear on their mommas and not fear of the repercussions that Transformers is a better movie then There Will Be Blood or Gangs of New York?

I think you need to listen to more music, especially outside rap. If Kendrick is deep to you, great. To me it’s not. For me simple music can be deep, it doesn’t need to come in a certain package.

For me MMBS is the kind of fake deep art that becomes a caricature of itself. Before Kendrick was deep and a social force for Good because he was continuing Pac’s legacy. Now Kendrick is deep because he is doing the opposite of that and isn’t a saviour 😂

If something was truly deep to you, you wouldn’t seek validation by pulling me up. It’d be deep for you and that’d be enough.

But I think you simply think it’s “objectively” amazing so no one could legitimately think it’s ass.

The most introspective songs on CLB (Champagne Poetry, 7am, The Remorse) exhibit a far higher level of artistry than anything on MMBS. In fact, even songs like Pipe Down are far more interesting to listen to as a lyrical metaphor and the flow/hook actually make it a bop. It’s even introspective.

People like you think it’s actually wrong to say artistically CLB is better than MMBS and like to reason away the streams down to “Drake is a mainstream rapper”. Fam Kendrick is a mainstream rapper.

There are no genres, if you do “you” right it doesn’t matter what kind of music you make it will be mainstream. You just fail to get it: for a lot of people CLB is the BETTER album :​

Posts like this only make you look bad because Drake is by far the most consumed artist in the US in the last 10 years and people still want more Drake music. Also, at this stage of Drake's career, calling his music bad is just a flat out lie.

I listen to enough music. That's also one of the reasons why i actually can appreciate the album. I have no idea why you're trying to insult me cause i enjoy MMBS. It seems really personal for you actually

Pulling someones music down based on sales or a relationship w another artist kinda sad imo tho. Cause it seems you have a problem w it based on your stannery. And every post of you confirms that. You don't even go in depth with your criticism or give me examples, so we can't really discuss the music if the only things you keep saying is s*** like 'fake deep', 'trash' etc.

🤣 you’re in different threads trying to call me a Drake Stan/Kendrick hater because I don’t like the guy you like. I think it’s more personal with you.

I’ve explained it already, my posts are there. I’m not going to write an essay in every post just so people like yourself don’t have a hissy fit about it.

This is the sales/streams thread. So that’s why we are comparing sales. You’d like to think the streams don’t reflect quality but I think they’re definitely probative. They’re showing you the artist people listen more to, because they enjoy the art more. That hurts the “deep” rappers’ fans.

If KL were deep in a way that actually mattered more people would like it. These are his numbers with the biggest industry personalities and machine behind him. They’d be even worse without them.
