It's not hate. It's calling out the hypocrisy of some Kendrick fans who would always talk down on numbers and hits and use that to talk down on Drake as an artist. They pretended like they didn't care about numbers or commercial success but the moment Kendrick dropped DAMN in 2017, all of a sudden, numbers mattered again lol.

I've seen some people call it out online since this beef kicked off as well. Numbers didn't matter from 2018-2023 because Drake thoroughly dominated in 2018 with Scorpion and in every other year till 2024 when Kendrick scored #1 hits and dropped a successful album.

The Kendrick Chart account on Twitter was made in May when euphoria/NLU dropped and were putting up numbers lol.

What most Drake fans have done is call out the hypocrisy. Numbers are all the rage now because Kendrick is putting them up. If by 2026, Drake is the one scoring #1 hits left and right, you'll see Kendrick fans revert back to their "art over charts" arguments lol.
