Drake was 4th on IFPI last year and Weeknd was 5th. IFPI includes the US, so it’s pretty obvious that if you exclude the US, Abel is bigger because of Drake’s insane US sales performance.

With that said, it’s looking pretty likely that Weeknd will be above him even with US included when the 2024 IFPI list drops in a few weeks.

Because if you have actually travelled the world , it's not even a comparison between these two. I just looked into the Top 100 on AM of Brazil, China and India, just because these are big ass countries and here is what I got:

Brazil: 3 Weeknd songs, 3 Kendrick songs, no Drake
China: No Weeknd and Drake, 2 Kendrick songs
India: 4 Weeknd songs, 4 Kendrick songs, no Drake

And all this even though Drake has a new album out.

I've been looking into some European countries as well. And while Drake has more placements there from the new album, they are usually in the lower half of the top 100.
For example Germany: 7 Kendrick songs, 4 Weeknd songs ( song chart at #8, 18, 31 and 47), 5 Drake songs (all from the new album with the highest charting song at 43)

If Kendrick dropped as much as Drake did at the same level of quality as Drake I’d drop his ass too.
