Apple Music probably had 25M, streams also come from Amazon/Youtube music etc
yeah forgot about youtube but it didn’t chart that well on amazon at all
Damn so the weeknd did all that posting for no reason
This is the craziest hit Kendrick has and why charts don’t tell the whole story.
This song has 95% lifetime streams in the US as One Dance and Hot Line Bling on Spotify. It more streams in US than Starboy.
Its a sleeper hit and you wouldn’t know if you just follow charts peaks.
since it doesn’t have to worry about recurrency it should have a nice chart run too
Put the beef aside for a sec and realize anyone doing near 200k on mostly streams is not a flop in any sense of the word for any artist yall let stan wars get to your head

What’s crazy about Money Trees is that despite being nearly 7 mins long it still has close to 2 billion streams smh
Not like us ain’t even that good of a song imma keep it real
Wrong, it‘s super catchy
There’s no need to rush the Luther MV. Imo Luther is on its way to #1 but probably not next week. I think NLU will stay on top for another week. When Luther does take over tho I see it staying there for at least five weeks.

Luther out streaming NLU in USA on Apple and Spotify and has more radio play. Genuinely has a chance at number 1 next week.
This is Money Trees debut on the hot 100 no? Insane that a song with that many streams never charted.

I don’t really care to get in the Kendrick vs Drake popularity weeds right now, but any comparison to Hotline Bling streaming numbers is basically invalid. Streaming was barely around in 2015 in terms of music consumption, it was just ramping up

Money Trees is from 2012 tho so it proves that song has held up for 13 years now

Hell yeah Money Trees is GOAT

Yea it’s not apples to apples like I said. That being said, Money Trees came out before and no one even considers it a hit. Hotline Bling is obviously a bigger song but it’s still surprising to have same streams in US

money trees and cartoons and cereal are the shortest long songs ever in that you immediately want to replay them after they’re finished as if they were 2 minute songs

I mean no. Apple Music streams got nothing to do with Spotify streams

It’s all relative.
Objectively, anything over like 10K streaming units first week is super impressive because it’s millions of streams.
But you have to remember it’s relative.
Taylor Swift doing 30K in streaming units is a terrible performance for her, but Coi Leray doing that is pretty good.

We are not talking about any artist. We are talking about Drake.
I mean no. Apple Music streams got nothing to do with Spotify streams
I feel you but its a pointless stat. Drake still outstreamed him total by a few million i’m sure with him outdebuting him on a few other platforms. He just trying to manipulate.

It’s… not pointless at all.
If the Spotify one is pointless then the AM one is as well
Luther back to number 2 on Apple Music
