450k is crazy especially compared to the pre release lack(?) of hype

Vinyl, CD, and Digital variants def helped tho. S*** I got 2 vinyl, a CD, and the Pharrell digital

Most bundles were a hoodie or a t shirt with either a CD or a vinyl

320K in pure sales and 128K in SEA projected.

Compared to 275K in pure sales and 163K for After Hours, but this is supposed to be a flop right?

320k in pure sales is crazy. They really nailed it with the physicals with this release.

Here’s where I kind of have a question. The HUT physicals are an almost completely different album than the streaming version. Sure they share songs but the arrangements and tracklist orders are different.

    Similar to Chromakopia.

So is Billboard ok with physical versions being different than the streaming version or?

@iHype may know the answer to this

Just mass consumerism for music on platforms that most likely won't be the primary way in which that consumer consumes the album

He had like 10 autographed variants for $10, the Vinyl was only $20 which is basically discounted (average Vinyl is $35-40+ on release)

Tbh the vinyl is half of what was put on streaming so the price is warranted

They seemingly are, and have been for a few years now. The physical copies for Pink Friday 2 were missing more than half the album when that album released

Nicki, Bey, Weeknd, etc put the unfinished album on physical variants month or two earlier to have them manufactured on time.

They then continue working on the album, and then the final version is the streaming release.

They just say the physical versions are the “standard” edition, and the final streaming version with more songs is the “deluxe” edition since they were both available same day
