My post was about the US, where it's performing far, far worse than AH.

“Far, far worse” and it’s a 40K difference

40k difference with 8 less tracks

this would be doing under 100k sea with 14 tracks

You're so disingenous lmao, you were saying how important extra tracks were for other artists before and now you're not even mentioning it as a criticism of The Weeknd's nubers.

AH did 139k with 14 tracks
Dawn FM did 134k with 16 tracks with basically no rollout

120k is terrible for 22 tracks and a 8 month long rollout

There is no way y’all are genuinely tripping over a difference of 20K

It’s not hypocrisy whatsoever. Yet again you are comparing the first week streaming numbers of a rapper and a pop artist. Unless you are Taylor Swift, you are not debuting with some insane stream count first week in the US if you are a pop artist

  • Feb 5, 2025

I literally predicted this album would do about 130K in SEA units

Why does The Weekend not get the same backlash Travis gets?

Every pop artist uses physicals and bundles nowadays. They literally need them to sell records. Hope this helps.

But now you’re shifting the conversation again

I presented to you facts that he actually hasn’t taken a nose dive not only in music, but also in show turnout and his collaborations and singles from 2021-2025 have been far more successful and more consistent. He just has bigger singles 2017-2021, but even then, 2 of those were as strong as 4x4.
Okay 4x4 didn’t performed well. It’s coming off the heels of music that has been performing really well and the stats show that

Also I disagree, in a short time, Travis’ songs from this era are already outstreaming most his from the last era. Salute lmfao

Fein is only about 3x platinum in a year and that was the biggest song on Utopia. Then Meltdown and I Know are 2x plat.

Also, bundles are not the guarantee that y’all make them out to be. You can sell a s*** ton of bundles and still flop massively

Nah I'm saying when it came to GMX, you were spamming KTT about how it woulda done a lot more with more tracks.

With this, you're not even talking about how HUT woulda done a lot less with the same track count as AH. Just funny.

Plus Franchise going 2x platinum in 2025 and the scotts going 3x platinum in 2024. These are his other #1s this decade. Highest in the room was huge (9x) but was 2019.

This isn't true. Morgan Wallen, SZA, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles and even Sabrina Carpenter have all dropped albums (some with 20+ songs and some with as few as 11 songs) that all debuted with bigger first-week streams than any album by the Weeknd.

All the artists listed above started their mainstream careers after The Weeknd and don't have as many hits or hits as huge as he does in the US.

Fader: Pop artists don't do well first week
Fader: Long albums stream far better

HUT, 22 tracks: 120k streaming units
Short n Sweet, 12 tracks: 160k streaming units

The biggest pop album of the year only did 160K in streaming units first week. You proved my point dumbass

Out of the biggest streaming weeks of all time, the only non-Taylor Swift pop albums in the Top 30 are SOS and thank u, next.

    Hope this helps.

Also hilarious how suddenly they expect a long album to stream better but at the same time were clowning GNX’s first week streams

    Make it make sense
