how's the weeknd only doing 120k in streams? when gnx/fatd are closer to 400k

260k in bundles vs 120k in streams, that's insane lol

It’s 20 songs long and getting great reception pretty much everywhere. It will easily be the 3rd best performing album on streaming for his career.

This is the same nigga in here that was saying GNX wasn’t performing well first week

Actually, Hurry Up Tomorrow is currently being projected to be The Weeknd's worst-performing album in SEA units.

Starboy: 175.2M US streams = 139k SEA units.
After Hours: 220.7M US streams = 165k SEA units.
Dawn FM: 173M US streams = 134k SEA units.
Hurry Up Tomorrow: currently projected to debut with 120k SEA units.

Means many people in the US aren't listening to the album. Also means it'll crash hard in units in week 2.

    What's bigger?

idk lots of older songs probably

you cannot call a song that’s a year old the biggest rap song of all time tho that’s insane lol

it very may well be irrelevant relatively speaking in a year

These niggas trying any angle possible

Also I literally predicted it to debut with 130K-160K in streams. His first week US streams are never high. 120K is completely expected for him first week.

Ah so this another bundle finesse. Definitely didn't feel like this album was that big

It’s not bundles. It’s called selling physical copies, which all popstars need to do to move units.

It’s also outstreaming both After Hours and Dawn globally btw, his US first week streaming total is never high. I said this numerous times in here over the past few weeks.

Yeah but his US numbers have dropped which ironically matches his father MJ who also declined in the US and got bigger worldwide later in his career

Sure they’ve “dropped”, but very marginally. His highest first week streaming total ever is 163K units. He has literally never done crazy first week streaming numbers in the US

What reality do y’all live in

  • Feb 5, 2025

Y’all talk about The Weeknd like he went from selling a million first week to 100K
