Once again, wrong.

Dawn FM’s first week streaming total was completely consistent with the first week streaming totals for all of his other albums:

BBTM: 86K
Starboy: 139K
MDM: 101K
After Hours: 163K
Dawn FM: 134K

There was not some major drop off in streaming units like you’re implying.

Now let’s look at Taylor’s:
Lover: 179K
Folklore: 218K
Evermore: 167K
Midnights: 419K
TTPD: 683K

Very impressive, but you have to take into account that TTPD had 31 songs.

Again, I never once said that Weeknd was as big as Taylor. Weeknd has never done crazy first week streaming numbers. Dawn’s total was completely consistent with what he’s always done.

I never said anything about The Weeknd losing streaming numbers compared to his old work lol, I'm saying his streaming numbers are low compared to quite a few other artists

Yeah outside the US, inside the US I don't think he's even top 10. (if he's top 10, he's probably 7/8th)

I'd hope a pop artist is one of the most streamed artists of all time

I mean there’s no real way to gauge that so at that point you’re just guessing.

Even still, being in the Top 10 alone means your streaming numbers are very good overall, he’s just never been a big first week streamer

Why isnt he? Everyone else around his popularity level is, but he gets smoked by so many of these artists.

I’ve already answered this. He doesn’t have as much of an obsessed, rabid fanbase as some of his peers do.

• He doesn’t have fans watching every single move of his personal life acting like the world runs around him like a Taylor

• He doesn’t have people who make it their entire personality to defend their artist and dismiss every other artist like a Drake

• He doesn’t represent an entire region and community of people like a Bad Bunny

• He doesn’t have some larger than life persona like a Beyoncé

• He’s never in the public eye at all like some other artists

Most people who enjoy his music just enjoy his music and that’s it, there isn’t anything past that

The Weeknd has been one of the loudest celebs in general for the past 10~ years though, so why doesn't that fanbase exist?

Dating what? 3-4 hugely famous celebrities, big tv shows, now a film with other huge celebrities. It's easily arguable this dude has done more than Drake celebrity wise yet for whatever reason he doesn't have the same fanbase.

The two big celebs he dated were Selena Gomez and Bella Hadid. Both relationships were extremely private, and ended privately as well. The average person probably doesn’t even know he’s dating someone else now.

“Big TV shows” = literally one TV show that was panned by critics, clowned by general audiences, and canceled by HBO after one season.

The film still hasn’t even had a trailer released, let alone a still image from the film. All we know is the title, the release date, and the talent involved.

He literally could not live a more private personal life if he tried. Half the stuff you named is just art. Drake 1000% participates in more “celebrity” life stuff than Weeknd does, it’s not even comparable. The social media presence alone should tell you that.

Aint no way you're downplaying the guy dating the most followed woman in the world + another woman who is probably top 10-20 lol

He was constantly in the media cause of those relationships, even wrote an album about them

Plus he had a whole ep of one of the biggest cartoon comedies of all time dedicated to him. he has definitely not been private at all
