They said GNX had 17 less hours than Chromakopia. They got that number by simply taking the 7 hours of tracking GNX had on its first day and subtracting it from 24. Which is wrong on multiple levels.

First, albums never have a full 24 hours of reporting on their first day on Spotify because albums release at midnight EST and not midnight UTC, which is when Spotify starts counting.

Second, Chromakopia dropped at 6AM EST and GNX released at noon EST. Which is only a difference of six hours. Again, not 17.

So, no, simply adding up the streams for the first 7 days of tracking was not what I was referring to.

Tyler had 12 more hours than Kendrick. It’s utc time and if you drop midnight est you get 19 hours.

Kendrick dropped 12 so he has 12 fewer. I know both of you are thinking right and trying to come to the right conclusion.

Now if Tyler dropped at 6 AM then he had 6 more hours

probably expect the lower end of the projection

360mil Us streams first week + an increase in pure sales from 30k originally predicted to 35k

and that would put him at 310k sales

If they’re wrong, it’s usually on the low end.

Morale’s final “projection” was 286 and Chromakopia’s final was 296, and Morale finished with 295 and Chroma with 299

This is doing 324 minimum

That’s not what I said at all. I just think it’s important to note that the numbers are not final at all. Hell the numbers could go up. Who knows
