Neither of those Beyonce songs were either, factually

Factually, Texas Hold ‘Em is more well known than any Drake song since 2018

    1. Most of Beyoncé’s fanbase is not a streaming audience.

    2. Texas Hold ‘Em has done better on radio than any Drake song since 2018.

    3. Nobody on the planet is actually buying Drake music anymore. He gets his numbers from streaming.

    1) is completely factually incorrect, her streaming debut for her last album was like a top 3 performance lol

They just didn't enjoy the song past the first week, so they stopped streaming it

Oh wow, one of her albums in her 25+ year career had a great streaming debut, this must mean most of her audience is on streaming!

They clearly are if she's doing 300m in a week from streaming lol

that's a lot more than The Weeknd has ever done for example

So everyone knew about the song and was streaming it originally, they just stopped, because it clearly wasn't good enough, so its an ass excuse

2 is probably nonsense too, considering Texas Hold Em didn't do that well on radio at all. It wasn't a top 10 song of the first 6 months of the year

2 months after release it was 70th lmao

You have lost your mind if you don’t think Taylor Swift stans would buy a new vinyl from her right now even if there weren’t a tracklist or release date announced

Also you act like Weeknd is tryna pull some bait and switch, the album is coming 100%, fans who were gonna buy the vinyl anyway were gonna buy it anyway, doesn’t matter when the release date is

Idc about your dumb hypotheticals. If she rolled out an album the same way as him I'd be saying the same towards her.

Should've kept it moving like the other stan who tried it lmao.

Every Taylor Swift album I've purchased I knew when it was coming and I knew what songs were on it.

Enjoy the slop he'll throw on that glorified playlist of an album he put on sale 2 months ago.

yea you right tbh, even with what taylor's done in the past she's never sold an album which doesn't even have a release date lol

it's a new level of low, at least to me. Why even open preorders when you don't know when the album's coming out?

Many artists have done this. He is not the first, nor the last to do it.

And there is a timeframe for when the album drops, you just refuse to acknowledge it

So Taylor releasing 33 versions of an album is okay, but Weeknd dropping 3 vinyl without an exact date is wrong?

Some of the greatest albums of all time have dozens of versions available. You've yet to convince anyone that this rollout is anything other than a huge mess.

Please name me another album that had 33 versions available upon release (meaning, in the same year as it released).

I’m not talking about anniversary editions or other celebratory editions like that.

Also TTPD is not one of the greatest albums of all time

The amount of versions is irrelevant. No fan is obliged to buy a version they don't want to.

I feel for the Weeknd stans who bought his mystery box 2 months ago - only for him to drop another one at a reduced price today. Truly shameless.

Same guy who sold green apple lollipops with his album. It's to be expected atp.

Okay so they can easily cancel the first order and place a new one for the cheaper one

Calling an impending album a mystery box is actually insane

Also, like you just said for Taylor’s 33 version album, no fan is obliged to buy something they don’t want to.

If there are Weeknd fans that have no interest in buying a vinyl, they aren’t being forced to. It’s a non-issue.

I think that's fair, I think I maybe have a different definition of popstar to billboard/others though

like Beyonce & Jay Z together really struggled selling out stadiums 6~ years ago, meanwhile The Weeknd is like 15 slots down the list doing it for fun etc, whilst also having his music listened to probably 2-3x more than Beyonce in the last 10 years

but this list isn't about last 10 years. It's since beginning of 2000 and she has the longevity. I agree she wouldn't be this high if it as just this decade.

She just did a 10m per show average and grossed 550M last tour as well.

The Weeknd dropped ANOTHER exclusive, time-limited vinyl. (No release date or even a tracklist out yet)

He must know his fans are dumb as f***

s*** is collectable. Someone offered me 4k for my trilogy vinyl.
