Number of days it took to reach 6 million in sales:

    The Box: 139

    WAP: ?

    Rockstar: 242

    NLU: 175

Yup you could definitely argue that the Box is bigger than NLU

Both NLU and The Box actually took exactly the same amount of time to reach 6x platinum, 175 days

That’s kinda how rap works tho, it’s based in areas. Relevance in black regions has to be taken into account

It's how all music works tbh, not just rap.

But it's absolutely delusional to think you can use "mysterious" ancedotes to try argue x song is bigger than y song

It's like a dude in Michigan arguing that Last Night by Morgan is bigger than Blinding Lights because it dominated their region of the country. Like lets be real here.

You can argue NLU was bigger on the west coast, but you can't argue that NLU was bigger in the whole of US than Rockstar. because literally everything shows it wasn't.

This whole thing stinks of the people trying to tell me that BRAT is as big as Short n Sweet, because everywhere they went online they saw people talking about Brat lol.

Not being able to understand your bubble is tragic

My intellect is easily higher than yours, you are one of the most ignorant users I’ve ever encountered on here. Always spewing delusion, posting numbers lacking any and all context, and give opinions presented as facts based on nothing but raw data, proving that you have no knowledge whatsoever about actual experiences and just get your ideas from a chart

    You told me 24kgoldn had a bigger 2020 than Kendrick's 2022 btw

I really never saw something like this before

Brat was only popular on social media for some reason, outside of that nobody talked about it

Who said Brat is bigger than SnS?

Brat was just 90% a marketing campaign by the most annoyingly obnoxious people online

You’re trying to argue that the defining song from a rap beef involving the two biggest modern day rappers is NOT a bigger record than a 4-year-old DaBaby song that nobody is listening to currently

More weeks at #1, and more weeks in the top 10, and more chart points.

right, and the point is; if the song is so incredibly defining, why haven't more people been listening to it?

It has fallen off fast compared to other rap hits, if it's so big; why aren't people continuing to listen to it?

NLU down to 1.6M daily streams on Spotify after barely 6 months. That automatically means it stops being a hit. I don't make the rules.

Is that unusually low for a hit song? Did Rockstar for example have more daily streams after 6 months?

It’s not unusually low, they’re being facetious because I pointed out that Rockstar is only getting 250K daily streams right now.

For a song that’s only four years old and supposedly the “biggest rap hit of the decade”, it should be getting a lot more than that

6 months after release Rockstar was doing 2.6m daily streams

No it has not fallen off fast compared to other recent rap hits

Not a single rap song from 2023 or 2024 has been bigger
