Drake being more popular than Weeknd here as well as being big globally obviously would make his global total bigger since the global total includes US numbers.

And actually, The Weeknd did out-stream Drake globally in 2023, and did that without a new album out. He’s also on pace to out-stream him again in 2024.

Alright, I'll humour you and agree that the Weeknd is bigger than Drake everywhere else but the US (in truth, Drake is bigger than the Weeknd in the UK and Canada and even Australia but let's ignore reality for a second).

If that's the case but Drake is still bigger than the Weeknd only using his US numbers and the US is a part of the world then Drake is still bigger than the Weeknd globally.

Drake made $320M off a single tour while only playing shows in North America. The Weeknd can't do that.

And no, Spotify isn't the only streaming service. The Weeknd has never been more consumed than Drake in the US or globally in any given year.

Drake did $350 million off 80 shows and sold 1.3 million tickets. Weeknd’s NA leg did $148 million off 19 shows and sold 1.0 million tickets. The box office difference doesn’t mean anything other than the fact that Drake’s tickets cost more money on average.
