movOne day y'all will realize that people barely care about albums anymore and that moving many sales really doesn't mean s***
Taylor has huge numbers for sure but when was the last time she had a super big hit? Cruel Summer and that song already came out 5 years ago and went viral last year. The GP isn't really caring about her stuff at all
Bruno Mars has like 65 songs and 25 of them were big hits. It doesn't mean s*** that he "flopped" (lol) with his last album because even 24K Magic had like 5 hits total
Same with The Weeknd. He had multiple hits after Dawn FM. Albums aren't that important anymore
so now album sales don’t matter anymore lol

Just comparing their most recent projects since Bruno hasn’t dropped a solo album in 8 years.
24K Magic dropped November 18, 2016 and did 231K.
Starboy dropped November 25, 2016 and did 348K.
BBTM also did 412K in August 2015 btw, more than both Bruno’s first and second albums.

Bruno Mars > The Weeknd globally. Unlike some people, I won't say the Weeknd isn't a global superstar. Bruno is just bigger and has achieved that status with far less music and general activity across his entire career.
Like, Bruno's career launched in 2009. He became a star in 2010 with his debut album and 14 years later is still scoring massive global hits. The Weeknd didn't become commercially successful till 2015.
Again, one of these things is not like the other.
