Regardless, Drake has had a huge hit almost every album (10+ albums). Weeknd failed to do it with Dawn FM completely.

But she never actually tried to get #1 hits from her albums last decade. DIL and Formations would have 100% gone straight to the top if she cared, in fact she deliberately sabotaged the latter one for bigger album sales. Meanwhile Abel had two Max Martin songs ready as the first 2 singles.

It was certified 8x Platinum in September 2019.

At the very least, it took 4-5 years to go Diamond.

Blinding Lights still achieved it much faster.

The point is that the song that went Diamond significantly faster (both in the streaming era as well) is probably the bigger song

tbh it came out before streaming era, so it makes sense

but regardless you're moving the goalposts, One Dance was absolutely on BL's level & your point was that AH's success was down to BL and you said it's a "once in a lifetime hit", meanwhile Drake has had 5~ hits that grabbed the public's attention to his albums like BL did for the weeknd, you're coping
