I mean you are using spotify as a metric. If thats the case almost every established artist have hits like that. the weeknd himself has at least 5 or around there
I guess if you keep it to "single" maybe not but we all know how useless singles are nowadays

And yes there have been plenty of songs that weren’t huge smashes right out the gate but grew over time.m, it’s very common in pop music.
Dancing in the Flames very well could be a flop, all I’m saying is not making that judgement until a few months down the line. It’s not the type of song that was ever gonna be an immediate smash
i understand your point, however 2020 and 2024 is still 4 years difference, music has changed so much, i feel like it doesn’t work like this anymore
