The weeknd definitely grew his audience with blinding lights
None of the stats show that except in Asia
Fun fact, Starboy spent more weeks #1 than After Hours in the US
and in the UK, BBTM had more chart success than After Hours. But yeah you guys can keep your opinions about he grew his audience with AH, but the facts disagree
UK weeks top 10
Starboy 9
BBTM 7
After Hours 7
Proved wrong and then proceeds to insults, again, classic
You didn’t prove anyone wrong
All of the data we have about those touring numbers prove that The Weeknd didn’t sell out his two O2 dates in 2017, and that most of the dates on Drake’s Assassination Vacation Tour were not sold out.
Then you proceed to say that an artist going from selling 34K tickets in two shows to 250K tickets in three shows means that the artist didn’t grow in that city. I genuinely think you have something mentally wrong with you if you believe that to be true.
The Weeknd would not have been able to perform in stadiums in 2017, let alone do it three times in London. You have lost your mind if you think he hasn’t grown in popularity in Europe since then

These aren’t facts, these are just streaming numbers. Your broken and delusional brain cannot seem to understand that streaming numbers are not the end all be all

those are not even pure streaming numbers, just chart performance influenced by radio play lol
I think he has been at peak popularity since After Hours - Now. He's definitely more popular than he was in 2017 globally
People still believe these fake numbers?
F*** Kendrick gotta be a close second, right?

Obviously. Anyone who thinks he hasn’t grown in popularity since 2017 is genuinely delusional
Sabrina and Travis both got their number 1s in the end

Nobody’s saying BBTM wasn’t huge.
But you have lost your mind if you think 2020s Weeknd is not a bigger artist than 2015 Weeknd.
This guy is filling up stadiums around the world, something YOU said he wouldn’t be able to do as recent as 2022. How is he not bigger now if he surpassed your own false expectations of him?
future's projections are in, 120k-135k. very consistent from WSDTY.
ppl rly dont like r&b future anymore huh. that explains we still dont trust you's numbers

2015 weeknd sure, but not 2016/2017 weeknd. Starboy was bigger than AH in Europe

Okay. Was 2017 Weeknd able to sell out stadiums overseas?
The same person that made a thread in 2022 saying that The Weeknd was crazy for attempting to sell out stadiums is now saying that 2017 Weeknd was bigger than 2024 Weeknd
"surely this is gonna go badly for him?"
I don’t understand how someone can be proved wrong so egregiously, and then flip their stance completely and still be completely wrong
