its not doing better numbers than MDB/NLU even though it's newer. Radio deals are inherently racist and payola is involved. There is history of suppressing hip hop/ rnb this isnt anything new.

Why are we happy for culture vultures/racists taking shine away from black american musicians?

I think he hates Kendrick and now he's rooting for anyone who could knock "not like us" off the top spot. If it has to be Junkie Post Malone, he'll be rooting for him. Weirdos...

All Spotify streaming records are gonna be crushed in 5-10 years. Spotify keeps gaining more subscribers each year, and there's still tons of room for growth.

The numbers are already way bigger than a decade ago, and they're only gonna blow up more.

Plus, the US population is gonna keep booming, so there'll be even more listeners. Back in 2000, there were 300 million people in the US, but by 2050, it's gonna be over 420 million, which means there'll be a much better shot at new records.

but the quality of new music will decline even more and people will stick to the classics instead of tuning in for new artists

The radio payola got them there. The streams fell off after the first day.

I guess you can say they had some help

Doesn't matter. The Hot 100 isn't just a streaming-only chart. It accounts for streams, sales AND radio. Always has.

You Kendrick stans used to claim to never care about numbers and stats and now that he's dropped a song putting up massive streams, you wanna cry about the charts being unfair. It doesn't work that way.

A song calling the biggest name in Rhythmic/Urban radio history a pedophile isn't gonna do a ton of damage at those radio platforms and pop radio definitely won't touch the song with a 10-foot pole, especially when there are catchier, more accessible songs they could play like I Had Some Help, Million Dollar Baby & Espresso. A very-heavily edited version of the song is likely what's being played. The song will remain in the top 10 for as long as it's still putting up massive streams. All you can do is hope that lasts a long time.

Also, anyone can do radio deals. It only lasts for a week anyways.
