Gary Givenchyeh, you have to account for the casual music fan — which is most people — that is not going out their way to discover good music. they just hittin play on the spotify discover playlists or drake and calling it a day.
good music doesn’t always get exposure if they don’t have the necessary industry connections. no way you think good art is always rewarded like that
Exposure is a criteria, an artist might not get the promo/exposure/accessibility like Drake or Kdot do, which is why I wouldn’t say (for example) some indie artist is “trash”
Kendrick and Drake reach practically the same audience, they have the same/similar accessibility/expose, one album is gone in 2 weeks, one album is listened to daily. We can spin it how we want (I’m not even a huge drake fan), but Drake’s music is better to the majority
