NEW RELEASES: KACEY'S DEEPER DEBUT

With projections from Friday sales and streams, Kacey Musgrave’s sixth album, Deeper Well (Interscope/MCA Nashville) is trending to an opening salvo in the 75-85k range. Deeper Well's big debut will exceed her previous release, Star-Crossed, which debuted with 77k in September 2021. Musgraves is repped by Sandbox Entertainment's Jason Owen.

Meanwhile, our experts have just set down the abacus and predict Ariana Grande, who's managed by Good World’s Brandon Creed, will repeat at #1 with eternal sunshine (Republic), which is projecting to 80-90k after opening last week with over 200k. If Deeper Well overperforms, things would get interesting. Stay tuned…

It's also worth nothing that the tickets for this tour aren't cheap at all, so it's insane that he's already moved this many. His tour will be sold out entirely before it starts, for sure. The new album + the Tiny Desk performance will have people rushing to cop tickets.
