Two things can be true at once

    1. Kanye hasn’t had a true hit in over a decade

    2. Carnival is bigger than any 2020s Drake song

Neither of these statements are true

Life Is Good is one of the most blatant frauds in the history of music.

Even if you remove the streams it got from the YouTube autoplay algorithm glitch, it'd still be sitting at 8x Platinum with over 1B streams on Spotify and hundreds of millions of streams on Apple Music. Enough for it to still be one of the biggest hits of the decade.

classic song, what’d it look like in the following weeks tho? because carnival has been steadily rising. getting a #1 weeks after release is def more impressive imo

It was stable in the top 10 for months till Christmas songs flooded

It returned to the top 10 after Christmas for a few weeks too before falling out of the top 10.

    Carnival this week: 33.6m streams

Laugh Now Cry Later: 66.5m streams

LMFAO COOKED HIM 😭 Carnival would barely crack the top 10 with how strong charts were when drake was releasing

  • Mar 10, 2024

Rich Flex, Jimmy cooks, LNCL, Wait 4 U, Life is Good, and even toosie slide are all way bigger than carnival stop it

How is it bigger than every Drake hit this decade after only charting for 3 weeks? It hasn't even spent a single week at #1 yet. That's why your post is stupid lmao.

That's not even taking into consideration how the charts are the weakest they've ever been right now so #1 hit in 2024 is much weaker than a #1 hit in 2020/2021 or even 2022.

Source on second paragraph? Or you just pullin s*** out of your ass?

Drake has 10 songs this decade that have spent at least 3 weeks in the top 10. Carnival is Kanye's first song this decade to do so. Just be glad Kanye is finally getting a hit record after over a decade but trying to shade Drake's hits is a foolish exercise. No one has scored more hits this decade than him.

Again, you’re right. Nobody has scored more hits this decade than Drake.

That still doesn’t change the fact that Carnival is bigger than all of Drake’s 2020s hits

Complain when Drake fans confront the bs

first it was “kanye is washed he’s done haha naziye he doesn’t have the juice anymore papi won”

then it was “of course it did numbers, it’s Kanye 🙄 “

then it was “lol vultures came and went, gone within the first week 😊 “

and now it’s “okay he has a hit b-b-but the charts are the weakest they’ve ever been” (although they were gassing that Slime You Out and First Person shooter slop)

    Exactly!!

It was “the charts are weak” when Slime You Out freefell off the Hot 100 six months ago, but now they’re in here comparing streaming numbers of Carnival’s 4th week to Laugh Now Cry Later’s 1st week four years ago

Carnival has only been getting bigger and bigger with each week that passes. You can’t say the same about ANY 2020s Drake song. They all debut really high and then taper off as time passes

Drake collabs still do well but you are correct about his solo songs. He's been relying on 21 for 3 years now
