Such a shame. Kanye was gonna do what Drake couldn’t the last 5 years, which is have your project go #1 for longer than 1 week

Drake's main albums always stay. Experimental projects and collabs give a false impression that his albums come and go when they don't It's actually impressive he manages to get them #1 at all

Every drake studio album outside of hnvm has done multiple weeks at 1 lmao
Was more asking about the reliability of HDD numbers but I think we’ve seen recently there can be a variance of 1-2k
HDD mostly offers a ballpark figure. Sometimes, they line up with Billboard's numbers and most times, they don't. The #1 could go to either Yeat or Ye/Ty$. Just have to wait till Sunday to see.
I thought you dudes said these predictions were never wrong?

Did I miss something?
Also why doesn't this tweet embed?
Seems like Yeat made some calls
Yest outselling Ye 2nd week? That can't be
I would say this is a flop for Yeat. Another W for Ye and huge W for Ty
60k is more than his last album

I’m just trolling obviously lol 😂
Drake no longer being the most streamed artist on Spotify (lead credits) is really the end of an era
He had been #1 since like 2015
Drake's stimulus seems basically over now, that Yeat ft has done terribly & the last 5-10 drake fts have done poorly compared to what they were doing around 2018
1.3m streams in 4 days globally on Spotify is so bad, for some fun comparision Over The Top (Smiley ft Drake) did 1.2m in its first day back in 2021
ppl seem tired of drake + just arguably music in general, I don't even think it's just rap
A 4 minute collab with Yeat thats a non single, deluxe song, and released on a saturday?

i don't get what ur point is? 5 years ago that song woulda done way better. Yeat is probably in the top 20 most popular rappers right now. Smiley wasn't even top 100 when that song dropped
its not even just that one either. Needle (Nicki ft Drake, which dropped with her first album in 5 years, .. Nicki & Drake!!) only did 1.1m first day, that's still less than Smiley ft Drake did (a random single) just 2 years prior
there's definitely been a shift w/ Drake & rap as a whole
This is a reach. The Yeat song is mid and no Drake fan asked for it. I'm not surprised it flopped. Yeat's main album isn't doing much either despite it having 20+ songs, so people are clearly lying about how much they're f***ing with the album.
Drake still has the biggest stimulus in music but it has to be the right song for his fans to bite and no song is charting high for more than a week without airplay so if the feature doesn't get pushed on radio as a single, it won't have legs either.
I'm all for Drake cutting down on features anyways. He's given away too many hits and he's done enough charity. More time should be spend keeping the best s*** for his own albums.
I don't see how it's a reach honestly, the numbers seem to back it up pretty well, it's been a slow gradual thing since around the start of 2022
I don't think it's something w/ just Drake though, like iv said before I think people are paying less attention to stars every year. Taylor is the only artist that kills this argument I think, everyone else has seemingly seen a decent decline in their "celeb power" and things seem to be getting worse and worse. It'd be fine if there were stars replacing those falling off, but there aren't, the way I see it is that music is on a sharp decline culturally. "new" music just isn't as sought after anywhere near as much as it was around 2016-2020
u can especially see this by looking at the reduction in the number of collabs between artists, labels don't seem to value it much anymore, probably cause we've now seen so many that flopped pretty badly. Back in 2016-2018 I swear there was a new pop hit with multiple artists on it every month
yeat deluxe with drake feature didn't work, vultures has become kanye's first album since WTT to spend two weeks at #1 (and third overall with LR being the only other one).

Do we have examples of Drake being on a non single deluxe song.
What did Betrayal from trippie album do?
I was told yeat sold 200 copies more
