I would say this is a flop for Yeat. Another W for Ye and huge W for Ty
Since when is 60k a flop for a relatively new rapper
Drake's stimulus seems basically over now, that Yeat ft has done terribly & the last 5-10 drake fts have done poorly compared to what they were doing around 2018
1.3m streams in 4 days globally on Spotify is so bad, for some fun comparision Over The Top (Smiley ft Drake) did 1.2m in its first day back in 2021
ppl seem tired of drake + just arguably music in general, I don't even think it's just rap
Yeah I was gonna say when I first heard the song, it feels like a long time since a Drake feature really meant something and felt special. It used to feel like a real surprise to see (feat. Drake) at the end of a song, but now it just feels so standard and expected

Which is crazy because we're actually getting less and less so it should feel special. On average we used to get 10 a year so almost every month. Now we're getting around 5 and none of them are anything crazy. I think it's a mix of expectations are too high and Drake not wanting to be as generous and give out his best work anymore. I think the last huge feature was Meltdown and he could've done more on it honestly
Whats the chances Carnival can go 1 eventually? I’m assuming super unlikely
Nein, cus he praises the fuhrer so he has no radio support.

This is a reach. The Yeat song is mid and no Drake fan asked for it. I'm not surprised it flopped. Yeat's main album isn't doing much either despite it having 20+ songs, so people are clearly lying about how much they're f***ing with the album.
Drake still has the biggest stimulus in music but it has to be the right song for his fans to bite and no song is charting high for more than a week without airplay so if the feature doesn't get pushed on radio as a single, it won't have legs either.
I'm all for Drake cutting down on features anyways. He's given away too many hits and he's done enough charity. More time should be spend keeping the best s*** for his own albums.

wait am I trippin? where’s Taylor?

They need to at least drop a music video and promote it more

she hasnt really took off on streaming until 2020. and given she releases 1-2 albums per year, there isnt much time for any songs to rack up billion of streams.
cruel summer will hit 2b+ or so by the end of this year though

partially true, 15 years into his career people are generally less interested or excited when seeing a drake feature but also the song was just ass for the average listener
no average fan is gonna listen to a minute and 30 second build up of yeat (who they probably dont listen to) chrooning over a dramatic ass beat for drake to finally hop in, build up good momentum, and only say 3 lines and hop out
he still drops some absolute gem features that work because he has chemistry with the artist and the fanbases intersect like:
Churchill Downs
Wait For U
Life Is Good
Meltdown
Parade on Cleveland
Needle
Solid
but you are right, in terms of ANTHEMS, they definitely becoming more rare to non-existent like Look Alive's, Yes Indeed, and Sicko Mode's, guess its just how it goes
just like sports, ur at the top so long eventually you got everything and slow down and then retire
If Kanye would stop being a Nazi Carnival would have a chance at number 1.
he should tour Israel and make fun TikToks about pickles and knish

It’s his highest selling week ever but he was slated to do a lot more and the last album had no features and only did 5k less, this album has 3 AAA features - this is an L to me
ngl some of you are too obsessed with a drake fall off
how is drake stimulus dead, when both artists already had a big moment on a better song with idgaf a couple months ago ? song nearly went number 1 and probably the highest chart position someone like yeat will be able to hit anytime soon
meanwhile none of the drake 'succesors' of the last couple years like post malone, travis, bad bunny or taylor put new artist on like that in terms of stimulus. they dont get faulted for it either, so why does every drake feature need to be some hit song 15 years in his run/career ?
that new track isnt even that hard, if it was charting high yall would be mad as well because its not that special of a track or feature lol

All we’re saying is that Drake feature doesn’t equal automatic hit anymore the same way it did for a solid 5-6 years straight. There’s nothing wrong with that, just observing that it’s not the case anymore
