It's funny how this thread loves to preach "Men lie. Women lie. Numbers don't lie." when it comes to artists they like but, when it comes to Taylor Swift, all of a sudden people will question everything about her success and doubt the numbers without getting labeled "haters."
I just find that funny and ironic.
At this point, Most artists will need 20-30 weeks to sell what Taylor can sell in 1 week.
She moved about 35-40 million units this year depending on the counting method. The previous record is 22M by MJ, the year he passed away.
She alone is responsible for 2% of all units in the US this year according to HDD.
If you are a fan of hers and think the nonsensical garbage those comparably flopped artist stans are saying are even worth a respond, then you’re the stupid one, not just them.

I'm not even close to being a Taylor fan.
But I just find it funny when certain people who use sales, charts, and streams to shut down any criticism of their fave artist don't apply that same logic to Taylor Swift.
