i didn’t read any of this, your boy flopped and he isn’t bigger than Taylor
go cry into your Drake poster in your room or whatever kid
It's so funny that this is your response as if I'm involved in any of these corny ah Stan wars. I am not a Drake stan and I was actually arguing with Drake stans about why this album is so bad. Nice try tho cornball
sales posters have no dignity, imagine arguing that a physical copy of some media is a gimmick, let alone constantly discounting physical sales, just so your pet favorite artist stands a chance against the niggas that are actually making motion on your metric
it would be funny if it wasn’t so sad
And this day and age, people are sitting at home watching movies on Netflix but actors and directors would still prefer people to go to a theater
that can’t be true, firing a movie on a TV or a computer screen, nuts out in my basement cannot possibly be any different than seeing it in a theater
And this day and age, people are sitting at home watching movies on Netflix but actors and directors would still prefer people to go to a theater
Well yeah because It's a completely different viewing experience. There is no noticeable difference between listening to a song on your phone vs a CD or Vinyl player. CD and Vinyls for music are collectable items in this day and age, nothing more

There’s actually a major difference between listening in AirPods on Spotify vs. playing a vinyl on a high quality turntable system and speaker setup. Like you can’t be serious

Bro listen to yourself. You're an audiophile. Talking about turntable systems and speaker systems. Do you seriously think the average listener ever gave a f*** about s*** like that?

And do you think the average person cares about the viewing experience in a theater?
No, but actors and directors would still prefer people to go to a theater, same way that musicians would still prefer people to buy an actual copy of their music

This is more like the difference between streaming on a phone vs streaming on a TV rather than the difference between streaming and going to theaters tbh

Because seeing a movie on the big screen, especially in an IMAX theater, is a whole other viewing experience from watching it on your phone/TV. Show me any f***ing artist that says "please only listen to my work with a turntable and speaker system"

No it’s not

Not talking about the experience, I’m talking about the act of actively supporting something. Streaming is passive and artists receive very little benefit from it.
You’re the one that said there’s no difference in streaming and playing music on vinyl, which is objectively false

Thats cool. I've already said it's impressive when an artist can market themselves well enough to sell merchandise (which CD and Vinyls are). I'm just saying that if we want to measure how popping an album is in a week, we look at the streaming numbers because that's how the vast majority of people are gonna consume that music
This topic can never go anywhere and never has in the history of mankind because
It’s not. But it’s cute you’re doing all of this for him selling 400k.
No one talking about drake u goofy
We talking about streams vs physicals as a general argument where in my post does it say drake or mentioned anything to do with drake
D’s get degrees ass nigga

no agenda or ulterior motive

You’ve been here from 2019 and decided today to discuss this even though you could’ve brought it up the millions of other relevant times? Shut up d***sucking dummy. You’re talking about it in reference to Drake.
This topic can never go anywhere and never has in the history of mankind because
you’re right in this vein, but owning a copy of an album is way more intimate than just streaming on your phone
people buying copies of an album en masse in light of the digital era shows a dedicated fanbase that actually likes your s*** so much that they’re willing to support you by buying an actual physical copy of it
anyone with two neurons to rub together can stream an album
yeah, you’re innocently undermining the value of physicals for no reason

If u went to my first post me and @shaleirose were having an informative back and forth on the importance of streams vs physicals in todays climate and in over 10 posts back and forth not one mention of drake
Its ok youll get there đź’”

I knew this was gonna happen after it became apparent this year that pure sales were driving some of the biggest albums of the year.
Drake would be too stubborn to do them, sell relatively low for his standards, then his stans on here would start undermining the importance/relevance of pure sales

There were definitely a couple users who chimed in because of Drake, you good though

it wasn’t informative at all, it was you obfuscating and scampering around like a rodent, trying to dishonestly compare a pair of jeans to a f***ing album
take off that Pac avi, he would spit in your face
