Saying Adele does little marketing is crazy

To think her label would release her album and put in little promotion

Well y’all consider a normal rollout to be “too much marketing” so I think we’re just speaking on two different definitions

One thing you will learn in this thread is that there's no consistency.

FATD had "no promo" and "no singles" depending on who you ask

Very shocking numbers indeed! You DO have to laugh at the dominance!

Streaming is also rapidly destroying the art of an album cover. Spotify with their little videos and Apple Music with their animated gifs. But with physical it’s always there to look at

Destroying it by adding to it if the artist complies

    Makes sense!

You had to reach for this one, I respect the creativity

I mean, not really. Adele does very little marketing and promotion but she’s still touching a million in pure sales.

Drake would benefit from physical sales as well but he’s too stubborn to use them

    More Lies.

It’s so sad the levels they will stoop to for that man.

They probably don’t even realize that Views only did a million because it cleared 852K in pure sales, even though the album was available on Apple Music and Spotify

Views came out right before streaming got popping

    More Lies.

Adele doesn’t do much promotion outside of normal album rollouts.

Drake would benefit from physical sales in 2023.

    Where’s the lie?

Drake stans really have brain rot to the point where they believe that pure sales are bad, physical media is a gimmick, and promoting your own music is the wrong thing to do

  • Oct 10, 2023

Updated projection by HDD is 420k

    410k streaming
    10k pure sales

Not to the extent Taylor and others do it today knowing they’ll be able to generate mad income off their crazy stanbases. I mean it’s fair play to them for doing it, I just don’t think it should count as a measure of the music itself.

Us knowing what these guys albums sales is actually the real problem cause why do we care. Whole point should be maximizing the amount they make of an album. Now it seems like they are sacrificing making money to have more physical copies sold

I would hope Drake is the most streamed artist on AM

He's on twice the amount of playlists than any other artist lol

AM has 25% less US subscribers than Spotify so its better to be the biggest artist on Spotify tbh

But most streams on Spotify aren't US based

Ok but the point is if two people drop albums and one outsells the other because they dropped 12 collectible versions, it doesn’t equate to people fw the music more

Billboard should do what hdd does. shows sales for streaming, physical and income made
