Imagine clowning an artist discounting physicals for their fans. More artists should do stuff like that.
Fr that's dope asf from a music lover standpoint
Even if that’s the reason, fans are still winning by being able to purchase a physical copy for a ridiculously discounted price. Think about all the fans who can’t afford to pay $60+ for a vinyl after shipping fees and taxes.
Travis gets more sales and the fans get physicals for a steal of a price, it’s a win-win.
We can’t complain about prices as consumers and then clown artists for discounting things for their fans. Clown behavior.
You're missing my point. Good that fans can get these vinyls at a very cheap price but stop painting it like that's Travis' main intent for making it that cheap. $5 is the lowest possible price the vinyls can be sold at to still be counted by Billboard. That's the only reason he dropped the prices that low. And he only did that to boost sales of his album so it remains stable. That's it.
Travis would milk his fans for every dollar they had if he could. Stop acting like he's somebody who cares about them not spending money on him like he doesn't sell the most ridiculous s*** to them just for profit.
Nigga, please. Stop trying to paint this as some sort of selfless act on Travis' part. This is solely being done to keep his album stable, especially since there are zero hits off the thing.
I'd clown Taylor Swift if she did this same thing so no, I'm not clowning Travis because I hate him.
Outside of that, this is a terrible business move. Vinyls are now more expensive to make than ever and he'll have to pay the label back for producing the physicals for him regardless. In addition to that, the label makes 0 money from the vinyls outside of the cost of production (money from the vinyl sales) and neither does Travis and since that's his decision to make, he'll still have to pay them back what they were meant to make as a profit from the sales of the vinyls regardless. All that s*** is coming from whatever money his music generates.
All of that just so it doesn't seem like his album isn't a massive success lol.
$5 vinyls AND free shipping seems like a loss to me idk

I never said Travis’s only intent was fans getting them at a cheap price, but the intent literally doesn’t matter when both sides are coming out with a win.
Travis gets sales, his fans get physicals at a super discounted cost.
However you want to paint it literally does not matter. More artists need to do things like this because vinyl has become ridiculously expensive nowadays.
By your logic, anyone selling literally anything ever is not allowed to ever run discounts because they benefit from selling the product at a lower price. Backwards ass thinking.

If vinyls are too expensive then don't buy them. You're acting like vinyls are food/water. They're not a necessity. A report came out not too long ago that half the people buying vinyls don't even own record players and even of those who own them, they never open or actually play them and just keep them as collector's items so spare me that s***.
There's a nasty inflation in economies all around the world. It's not ideal but it is what it is. Everything costs more than it should. That forces you to prioritize and if you still wanna spend money on s*** that isn't important then that's on you. Don't complain about the price.

I say that things like vinyl being discounted is a good thing because inflation has them way too expensive nowadays.
And your response is “then don’t buy them”?
So, rather than artists discounting them so fans can enjoy them and own a physical piece of their art, your suggestion is that people too poor to afford them should not have the chance to buy them at all and artists shouldn’t be discounting things for their fans because “it is what it is”. Sick person.

Vinyl takes months to produce so these were probably just leftovers sitting and collecting dust somewhere anyway. Either sell them at a loss, bin them for a bigger loss, or drop them off at Goodwill like Adele did.

Exactly. There’s literally no way to spin that into being a bad thing, other than the fact that she’s mad that it results in more sales for Travis

You really just pulled this leftovers theory outta your ass to justify Travis' actions

You are really f***ing stupid lmao. If you're poor, don't have record player and know vinyls are generally expensive, why do you need to get them? How are they a necessity?
Travis dropped the prices of the vinyls to the lowest amount that would still count towards the charts to game the charts. It's not a sin. I even said in my first response to you that Taylor also does this and I criticize her as well but you're doing the most because you think I hate Travis for doing the same thing when I'm just calling it out like I would for anyone else.
Lastly, stop quoting my posts to be argumentative. Or keep quoting me. Either way, I won't respond. And if you don't stop, I'll just block you and move on. You are addicted to aimless arguments and I'm done with back and forths with you.

You’re just mad about discounts because it’s not Drake and they count as sales for an artist that isn’t Drake.
Anyone mad about a discounted product is either greedy or a complete idiot and I think you’re both.
Imagine being mad about discounts as America is about to enter another recession
You really just pulled this leftovers theory outta your ass to justify Travis' actions
Your theory is that they're producing new vinyl, for some reason using the Uzi song instead of the Drake song on the LP. Selling that vinyl for $5 at a massive loss, pressing it, and shipping it out the same week.
Got it!

At the very least, try to act like you're smarter than this. After Utopia dropped, vinyls with Meltdown on them were up for pre-order so yes, new vinyls are still being made for the album. The original ones with the placeholder Lil Uzi song will still be sold, not because they were sitting around and gathering dust but because they were always meant to be sold at a profitable price because no sensible label spends money and resources to make that many vinyls to sell at a loss lmao.
A decision was made involving Travis to sell them at the possible lowest price in which they'd still count on the charts so they move as much as possible every week to keep Travis' album stable. If the album had enough streaming support to keep it stable, the vinyls likely wouldn't get sold at $5.
I'm not even saying it's a bad thing but that's the whole reason why it's being done, not because Travis or his label are trying to do his fanbase a favor but it's whatever. Believe whatever you will lmao.
Imagine being mad about discounts as America is about to enter another recession
She said justify Travis' actions, like he's committing atrocities, meanwhile he's just selling Vinyl at a loss. Crazy.

Literally. Imagine being that mentally deranged
Don’t hate the player, hate the game
Selling vinyls at a loss to inflate the numbers. Travis is a sales fiend like us.

This is all anyone needed to say in response to my post but idiots were quoting me and crying
Most people on here clowned Abel when he used bundles to boost After Hours in its first 4 weeks. Many people started calling Travis Bundle Scott. Doesn't mean we hate them or we don't know what the game is. Everything don't gotta be that deep lmao. Sometimes, just laugh and keep it moving
it didnt work: (
This country explosion was inevitable after Old Town Road the more I think about it.

Lil nas x cursed us
But all jokes aside country always been popular it’s just now the fans as switched to streaming sites that’s why country artists are dominating the charts now, honestly I can see the same happening with other genres with huge fanbases like rock all it takes is them just mass switching to sites like Apple Music like country and Latin music has
