Travis gets more sales and the fans get physicals for a steal of a price, it’s a win-win.
We can’t complain about prices as consumers and then clown artists for discounting things for their fans. Clown behavior.
You're missing my point. Good that fans can get these vinyls at a very cheap price but stop painting it like that's Travis' main intent for making it that cheap. $5 is the lowest possible price the vinyls can be sold at to still be counted by Billboard. That's the only reason he dropped the prices that low. And he only did that to boost sales of his album so it remains stable. That's it.
Travis would milk his fans for every dollar they had if he could. Stop acting like he's somebody who cares about them not spending money on him like he doesn't sell the most ridiculous s*** to them just for profit.

Nigga, please. Stop trying to paint this as some sort of selfless act on Travis' part. This is solely being done to keep his album stable, especially since there are zero hits off the thing.
I'd clown Taylor Swift if she did this same thing so no, I'm not clowning Travis because I hate him.
Outside of that, this is a terrible business move. Vinyls are now more expensive to make than ever and he'll have to pay the label back for producing the physicals for him regardless. In addition to that, the label makes 0 money from the vinyls outside of the cost of production (money from the vinyl sales) and neither does Travis and since that's his decision to make, he'll still have to pay them back what they were meant to make as a profit from the sales of the vinyls regardless. All that s*** is coming from whatever money his music generates.
All of that just so it doesn't seem like his album isn't a massive success lol.

At the very least, try to act like you're smarter than this. After Utopia dropped, vinyls with Meltdown on them were up for pre-order so yes, new vinyls are still being made for the album. The original ones with the placeholder Lil Uzi song will still be sold, not because they were sitting around and gathering dust but because they were always meant to be sold at a profitable price because no sensible label spends money and resources to make that many vinyls to sell at a loss lmao.
A decision was made involving Travis to sell them at the possible lowest price in which they'd still count on the charts so they move as much as possible every week to keep Travis' album stable. If the album had enough streaming support to keep it stable, the vinyls likely wouldn't get sold at $5.
I'm not even saying it's a bad thing but that's the whole reason why it's being done, not because Travis or his label are trying to do his fanbase a favor but it's whatever. Believe whatever you will lmao.
