I did, I always do, you was kinda standing on that lol
audiences are fickle as f***. ppl thought timberlake was a certified hit maker and he was untouchable for a while. 2016 he had #1 inter ational hit cant stop the feeling. 2017 motw.

I get what you're saying as a whole. Someone like Nicki who is more prolific and still able to do so well on the charts is obviously a special thing. Same with Taylor. Their fanbases are incredible. But the other hyperbolic things you said just weaken the argument you're trying to make. It really isn't and shouldn't be an argument in the first place lol

Drake did 613k with no physicals, boxsets, bundles, etc. If he wanted he could do a million in a week imo
yea if drake went travis level he could do 2m
Drake's solo albums FW sales have dropped precipitously since Views (1 mil to 800k to 600k).
According to this trend, he's only doing 400k+ on FAT D. I could hardly see him eclipsing Travis's Utopua bumbers.
2023 may be the year Travis finally passes Drake in FW sales. This day was always coming since 2018
Niggas stay delusional then try to gaslight when the numbers come out
I'm of course assuming Drake will do a no-bundle release. If he does bundle for the first time in his career (out of fear for what I mentioned before) then I expect 550k-625k for FAT D.
utopia under streaming astroworlds first week 5 years later where the streaming climate has only grown and gotten bigger is surprising
well have to see the longevity of utopia since streams are what keeps album sales alive
astroworld has over 5 million albums sold so far

Drake bundles wouldn’t work
His fans aren’t the type to buy vinyls and the thought of wearing Drake merch is embarrassing for most. Resellers aren’t attracted to Drake branded merchandise either.

I mean "Bruno and Adele haven't had a hit in years" is technically true right? Their last albums were both in 2021, and that's two years ago. But it reads a lil differently than it actually is lol, seeing as how that's their latest releases.
In one of your posts you name a few artists in comparison that either fell off within a year (roddy, dababy, meg) or caught one (tyga and someone else) and I notice all of those names are from hip hop. I think it's fair to say the hip hop game as a whole moves quicker than a lot of other genres, especially as of late. So when we're talking about pop stars like Bruno and Adele who follow more traditional music biz guidelines and have longer pre and post rollouts and campaigns for their albums, then yeah they might not have a new "hit" every year. They're simply not releasing solo music at the same clip, let alone doing as many features as artists in hip hop.
Speaking of 2021 when Bruno and Adele were on fire, it was a pretty quiet year for Nicki. Queen was 2018 where those singles didn't perform all that well besides Chun Li, she got a #1 with 6ix9ine in 2020, then she had her newborn at the end of the year so it made sense why she wasn't as present. That tweet may not have been as accurate for Nicki in 2021, but now she's right back on top.

Not really surprising. Final numbers were lower than the projections so the album just don't got legs like astroworld.

He just sold a book with one sentence per page
His webstore sells out limited vinyl runs of his previous albums in 30 seconds
And HNVM merch did very well on his web store
Just because he hasn't done them yall think it wouldn't work but it'd be an extra 100k sales at the very least
"Drake fans don't buy vinyls" because he hasn't mass produced them
If he seized vinyl production across the factories like Adele did with 30 it'd get very real
Especially if he sold them at a profit loss for $5 like Travis lmao

Vinyls sold out in like 5 seconds when they were dropped on DrakeRelated

she also had say so go #1 in 2020. in 2021 she rereleased a tape from 09 and did good numbers. also whole lotta money remix was a top 20 for nicki in 2021.
queen i always hated on queen and yah it was less successful than her other albums but at the same time u got rake it up, motorsport, other hit features that she pushed there
ur right about pop and hip hop. but audiences are still fickle regardless. what happened to the Roxanne guy or Mood 24kgoldn or a lot of artists who fizzled out
and if ur talking about established hit makers, well, only time can tell. i stand on my point that u can be on fire one day and fall off tragically quick the next. i dont think any of the named artists are likely to, but to go back to the original tweet. my point stands.
and to talk some more s***, all of adeles albums sound the same and her last album was a sharp decline from the 3m first week 25 did. leave the door open blocked levitating from going #1 but levitating was the #1 song of 2021 on the year end billboard. so dua really won
hip hop was/is also the biggest genre, so me using hip hop artists who also achieved #1s isnt too farfetched. maybe theyre not as established as bruno/adele/gaga but even then. audiences r fickle!
billie eilish 2nd album failed to produce a big hit despite her churning out hits in between the album cycles

Nigga said merch was 'embarrasing' and resellers aren't attracted to drake s*** like the resellers and customers really care bout that🤣🤣

Utopia has already crashed on streaming.

Plus Drake was a strong pure sales artist even up to 2016. I imagine he's not as strong anymore in pure sales but only because he's spent the last 7-8 years not even giving his fans any incentive to support his music that way.
Acting like Drake fans won't spend their money on merch or other products attached to his name is silly, though. DrakeRelated releases something basically every week and they sell out like crazy. Not to mention how fast OVO/NOCTA merch moves despite the dozens of drops they do every year.

People will pay $300 just to post an Insta story at a Drake concert but would be too embarrassed to wear a shirt?
