Why’s SEA in the title? Every time numbers are in the title it’s always been SEA. In 2023 when people say first week sales they’re always referring to SEA unless otherwise stated
Streaming Equivalent Albums. The final sales number will be SPS, sales plus streaming
So including bundles it’s gonna be like 300k?
For a normal rapper, yes. But this is Travis Bundle Scott
my other goat Lana charting for the last decade without making chartbait music
who else
How does a Travis Scott album release turn into a Drake pity party
They’re holding on to what they have. They were spinning a cope narrative that Drake would be the Billboard Artist of the 2020s too for a few years until they realized that Taylor records a fart and blows Drake out of the water.
I agree he's underrappreciated but fam let Travis have his moment drizzy dropping in 2 weeks anyways
Of course. I can clown him using bundles and s*** but I generally like seeing rappers be successful because I'm a huge rap fan.

SEA = Streaming Equivalent Units
SPS = Sales Plus Streaming

Still left to be seen. There should be more information on that by Tuesday.

Links to said recorded fart? For science ofc
Drake should drop some bundles for FAT D
He’ll do 1 billion first week
If Drake dropped bundles, bundles would all of a sudden be a good thing in this thread.

Nah, first week sales are always all sales units combined into one number.
SEA numbers are specifically the units from streaming. Physicals/pure sales are not included.
Travis gets a big bulk of his total numbers from pure sales, and those projections have not been made public yet

Please just make another thread to complain about Drake

It would be “he’s just playing the game like everyone else”
Fan packs lmao trav is once again trailblazing some bullshit sales loophole?
those are the bundles
from my understanding of the new rules the two $65 tshirts are the bundles as "fanpacks".
But then to go around rules buying the other stuff gives you discount for album.
"Under the new rules, artists may only sell two different “fan bundle” variations, which must come with a physical copy of the album and a merch item. The merchandise and the album copies must all be available for purchase from the artist, independent of one another."

What @dedication said above me.
Plus, the “fanpacks” thing just came into effect on June 30, so it’s still relatively new. Expect a lot of artists in the second half of this year to employ this strategy.
My theory is that Travis and his team (as well as other huge artists in general) have known about this change for the better part of the year now, which is why Utopia released when it did. It’s probably why there weren’t a lot of major releases in the first half of 2023 as well

Yea its funny cause the boxsets have always been allowed I think tyler was only rapper to utilize it. but Beyonce had them for her album. The fanpacks are the only thing new.
I think if something was to get filtered it would be the discounted albums when you buy merch. Or if people used same credit card to buy more than 4 of same version.

Umm have you seen the last 2000 pages?
