It’s also cause artists like drake gave up on em, I can find 40 Billie eilish albums on a shelf at target, but maybe only 2 rap albums

Aka country appeals to boys/girls/men/women because it’s country (which makes up for the lack of overt racial crossover like, say, hiphop has). Rap would have to leave generic trap behind to be relevant again. These new guys ain't T.I. or Jeezy, whole album sounds the same these days.
