The same is true for Future tho
Majority of Future's fans aren't teenagers.
every artist would love that fo sure
still f***ing stupid how it's allowed tho. these stats should be measuring the popularity of an album, not how insane the fans are
100k people buying an album is the same as 3.7 million people streaming a full 20 track album twice. S*** aint right
when you buy an abum you are spending money and listening to it multiple times most likely. What do you think it should be then cause its way easier to stream an album twice then actually buy it.

What a dumbass post lol
album sales should always count. otherwise make a streaming chart

Fr. We all know why they gassing up streaming like that
I bet if it was 2010-2016 it would be the opposite for them

didn't say they shouldn't count
I just think they should count less than they currently do.
you're braindead if you think the algorithm is currently good considering people are using these charts to compare the popularity of albums
the charts should give extra weight to whichever consumption method that benefits my fav

they should knock it down from 1500~ streams per sale to 1000 streams per sale
yes it's way easier to stream an album twice rather than buy it
but it's also way easier to drop $100 on 10 albums rather than rack up 15k streams. which'll take 31 days of constant 24/7 listening

gassin up streaming because it actually shows what people are actually listening to lol there's nothing more to it

hmm 🤔
that's probably fair tbh especially since bundles don't count now
Crazy that she's 33 and majority of her fans are still teenagers. She'll be pushing 50 still making music for them lol.
Do you listen to her music? Most of her albums are more mature than SOS
the charts should give extra weight to whichever consumption method that benefits my fav
No radio should count the most cause thats what people really listen to these days

?????
radio is prolly the least listened to it has ever been in history lol cars got apple play and s*** now that will auto start playing music from your phone

And radios worth pretty much the lowest it ever has been worth on Billboard
They did increase it slightly but its still worth way less than it was decades ago
so is SZA arguably the 3rd biggest female artist now behind Taylor/Adele? doubt Cardi/Ariana Grande outdo that with their next albums.
this gotta be the best time in a long ass time to be a r&b artist. sza/summer competing with the pop artists

Ariana's last album dropped over 2 years ago. Cardi has only 1 album to her name and that album dropped over 4 years ago.
I believe Ariana has peaked commercially. I feel the same about Cardi, too.
SZA had only one album to her name that grew organically in success and so whatever she followed that up with was always doing to to damage upon release.
I'd say right now, for female acts, it's Taylor Swift and then everyone else and the gap is huge. Rihanna has never been one to put up massive first-week numbers but we'll see what she does with her next album. She definitely has the hype and anticipation on her side but even then, she won't be coming anywhere close to the numbers Taylor is putting up.

yea I can't see Ariana outperforming her thank u next era, everything went perfectly for her then
sza might even be #2, wouldn't surprise me if her album outperforms Adele's longterm since Adele's has done fairly poorly
