Wayne would still be doing big numbers if his team did him right with his tracklists
He went 480K to 139K from C5 to Funeral. Huge drop. And the album with Rich the Kid did 15K. Collab albums do low numbers but 15K pretty f***ing low, even if it's with Rich the Kid.
Wayne will be lucky to sell 100K again
Man burnt two houses down inside a stadium, delayed the s***, had a TON of promo before with the stem player, etc.
Embarrassing he didn’t do more. Kendrick did no promo basically.
Man leaked the whole album months in advance. Released it on a Sunday and still competing with these niggas
Ya mans decided to make a trash website and copy the Jordan I’m back s***. Too bad.
There is no longer a top 3
It's Drake at the top, lonely
and then under him we got the sub-3
Kanye, Kendrick and J Cole

clown take
The top 3 still the same. Yes, Drake is the one that performs comercially better, but the top 3 remains. Only thing i would argue is that Future is the one that should get the Cole spot

It absolutely doesn't.
The top gun sold almost twice as much as the 2nd biggest. Makes more sense to group the 2nd biggest with Cole and Kanye since their numbers are comparable
So with another drop like this, does that mean he might not hit 300k
Depends on how significant the drops are on Apple Music as well. My guess is he debuts shy of 300k. I now have him doing anywhere from 290-305k.

Crazy how far ahead Drake is of the rest then. He basically did no promo either and he did almost double of his biggest competitor.

Yeah, Wayne's hype is dead at this point but another Carter album will probably do > 200k.

To be honest, there's never really been a top 3. It's always been Drake and then everybody else. Those two were made to be put as his equals only because they were the only ones out of all his peers to come close to doing the numbers he was doing.

Drake was doing 600k in 2011. Kendrick didn't do that till 6 years later and he only did above 400k once. Same with Cole. Drake, on the other hand, has done above 400k 8 times. I mean, come on lol.
Drake will be ahead of Jay when it's all said and done but that's a discussion for another day.
On the music contract side he's the biggest ever

Yup but they were so insistent on this big 3 thing that I actually started believing it. Glad it's over now. All Kendrick and Cole fans (not so many Cole fans in here) LOVED to compare their favorite artists to Drake popularity wise but as soon as the real numbers are made available they no longer wants to discuss numbers because it's ''beneath them''. Suddenly Drake fans are the only ones interested in this aspect and we are all low lifes because we discuss it. Hilarious.

Most of the songs crashed out of the top 10 on Apple today so ain’t looking good for 300k

Under me, I see all the people that claim they over me
And above me, I see nobody
I'd have to be dead for them to say you took it from me

Yeah, that's how it's always been. It's always been Drake first. A huge gap and then everybody else imo and these rappers themselves know it. They'll never come out and say it but they know it. Drake has done way too much in the same time period as them for those comparisons to ever be valid.
And again, it's no disrespect to the rest of Drake's peers (Kendrick, Cole, Nicki, Wale, Big Sean, Future etc). All those names are Hall of Famers imo but Drake is like a Michael Jordan/LeBron James mix in that regard. They're all great in their own way but Drake's greatness is just on another level.
Wow projections have even dropped lower for Kendrick, even if he does only around 300k that’s still solid considering he was gone for 5 years, minimal promo, no single (I don’t count THP5), and the album not having as much mainstream appeal
Drake has multiple albums that top all of Hov's best. He doesn't have a NWTS or Take Care. Actually even Drake's worst aren't as bad as Hov. Scorpion and More Life are much better than Kingdom Come, Magna Carta, BP3, etc
Both are top 5 and I rank hov higher because of his accomplishments but Drake is getting more and more achievements and still dropping classics this far in his run. If he's still this good now I can't wait for his 4:44 late career album
?

I’m sure the drops are baked into the projection. Just depends on if he drops more than they think is normal
Tweets like this always make me laugh because it shows how much Kendrick fans love numbers and want to use that as a claim to greatness for him but when Drake's numbers get put up, they switch to critical acclaim because they know Kendrick doesn't come close lol.
