People are forgetting that while bad bunny's numbers look astronomical, theyre mostly from outside the US.
for him to cross 1-mil sales in the US, he'd need to quadruple his US audience.
Dumbest post in a long time
He did over 3 million sales alone in the US in 6 months
Shawty better drop his loss version. Need some industry spice
30k for Nas a W tbh
Man been rapping for 30 years
Would it be if it was Jay
US i am disappointed. No love for Nas...

Nas never been on Jays level w sales
Huh? Nas was went 3x platinum in 96 when jayz couldn’t even go gold.
It was written sold 270k first week and reasonable doubt only sold 43k first week

It was Jay’s first studio album - with little commercial appeal - vs Nas who just came off the reputation built up following Illmatic and rolled the album out with a huge single. RD should not be used in a comparison

Nas was outselling Hov till he dropped that weed plate Nastradamus

I know that but like…RD vs IWW to make that point is unfair lol

True Vol 1 would have been a better/fair comparison.
Even during his commercial peak ('96 to about '03) Nas was never a huge seller....B list commercial success with A list critical acclaim. 28K in 2022 is a W for him
Nas was outselling Hov till he dropped that weed plate Nastradamus
Vol 2. outsold both I Am and Nastradamus.
Jay was barely a middle of the pack artist before "Hard Knock Life", so 96 Jay vs 96 Nas isn't a fair comparison. Once Jay became a superstar he was at least twice as big as Nas ever was commercially

You’re wrong
Nas albums were going 2x platinum from 96-03 on every album besides nastradamus
Nas also was selling 350-450k during the 99-03 he even sold 300k first week in 2006. Not too many had a stretch of 5 2x platinum albums in their catalog.
I Am 470,000
Vol. 2 350k

Yeah idk what he’s talking about
Nas Iam sold damn near 500k first week is 3x platinum if he updated. More than jayz Vol3 in 99.

I was thinking overall. "Can I Get A" was the first single and did well, but "Hard Knock Life" was the song that pushed him to 5x platinum.
But yeah, on the day Vol. 2 dropped Nas was definitely the bigger artst. By the end of '99 it was a whole different story
Nas had jayz in the 90’s. Jayz got nas in the 00’s. Vol 2 success was a fluke, jay never touched those numbers again. Jayz stayed a 2-3x platinum rapper after vol 2.

Yeah by Vol 3 Hov was constantly outselling Nas. But idk why people think Nas never sold albums lol he always sold well even after 99.

Nas had jayz in 99. Jayz got nas in 00 when he dropped dynasty. In 99 Nas had 2 album go platinum and I am sold 470k first week and is eligible for 3x platinum. Nas also was right there with jayz in 01. Both albums went 2x platinum. Jayz really separated himself from nas in 03 with the black album.
Damn Taylor ain’t do 300k second week?
