push: 80K+
future: 125K+
harlow: 100K+
kendrick: 500K+
Kendrick at 500 is pretty f***ing bold in this era of streaming. Maybe like 350
Based on it's first day Spotify/Apple Music performance and with the charts being really week right now, It's Almost Dry might debut at #1 on the Billboard 200.

350 would be a flop after damn did over 600k

His streaming numbers surprising me tbh.

This is like saying Scorpion’s first week numbers were a flop compared to Views’ first week. 4 years ago was a whole different era in hip hop
Drake stans had the he didn't use bundles and dropped 2 days late excuses. I think this is our chance to really see who can sell more now that Kendrick can't use them and both are dropping on Fridays
He wont do 600k fw again but he will def be the rapper closest to Drake numbers, around 450k i guess

No, it wouldn't. DAMN. was 5 years ago. A lot has changed since then. Anything above 250K can't be considered a flop imo.

Youre right
all the billboard changes year by year got people's perceptions of album sales numbers and comparisons all messed up

Gotta outsell cole at least

Kendrick is selling at least 400K. Easily.
Off Season wasn’t as highly anticipated as Kendrick’s new album, and he hadn’t disappeared for 5 years before dropping it.
Kendrick’s release date announcement borderline broke the internet the other day.
Depending on how big of a lead single it has, it’s doing between 400 and 500K.

speaking of rule changes, billboard finally did something about mass buying, really interested to see how much this effects BTS's album
next month
"Multiple Copies - Physical:
If a fan purchases up to 4 copies of a record, each copy is reported as an official sale. If a fan purchases 5 to 9 copies, this results in 4 charting album sales. Purchases of 10 or more albums constitutes a bulk sale, and none count towards the Billboard charts.
❗️IMPORTANT: Only 4 physical copies of a UPC may be reported PER CUSTOMER. Multiple orders by the same customer that add up to more than 4 copies purchased will not result in more than 4 copies reporting."

I don’t see how this makes sense. You’re willing to count someone playing a certain amount of a record and count it as an official sale but make an official sale not count if it’s too many at one time?
If Kendrick does a 14 track album or less he will barely scrape 300k.
Numbers just won’t add up. He needs to have his highest streaming with slot of tracks to get to 450-500k and I just don’t see that happening.

the problem is that a few thousand stans with slush funds would inflate their favorite artist's numbers with mass buying. there is literally no reason for one person to buy 10 copies of the same album besides inflating sales

That's just that
Back in the day when people went plat in two weeks it wasn't cause one person was buying 10 copies

even if they did it was very isolated, with BTS stans, barbz, etc it is a coordinated effort and they literally create funds to help eachother mass buy, s*** was a huge problem glad billboard finally did something about it
